Referring to tips number 2 - never raise your level before you are skilled and in some way control the lower limits, and not during 15 min, we are talking about long term.

Many players automatically after a days "good" results tests a higher limit, which makes them lose their bankroll.

Which results in more deposits and less money on the bank.

#1 To figure out the odds of you hitting one of your cards on the turn or river here is a simple math problem. It's rarely more then a percent or two off.
Figures out how many "outs" you have.
On turn, Multiply your outs by four to get the % you will hit one of your outs.
On river, Multiply your outs by two to get the % you will hit one of your outs.

#2 Proper Bankroll management is crucial to being a successful online poker player.
(this is all assuming you are playing NL holdem, Omaha and stud differ slightly, but not much)
In general you want no less then....(Percent of your overall current Bankroll)
30 Buy-ins for a regular sng. (3%)
50 for turbo sng. (2%)
50 for a regular MTT (2%)
100 for a turbo MTT (1%)
For cash games, it's different from site to site because of the rake they charge, so this is the most BASIC management.
Never sit with more then 3% of your BR @ one table, if you get to 5%. Walk away
If you drop to less then 1%, Walk away or add chips. Make sure your add does not conflict with your new 3% rule.

#3 Mixing up your play is something vital for online survival, this is more situational and opponent(s) dependent then it your current game played until you are playing tourneys/sng with BI > $100. Anything under and you can play abc poker against your basic unknown opponent provided the tourney/sng situation does not call for you to be creative.

#4 - TAKE NOTES! Use the sites that show past history of the player, are they a winner, loser, playing above or below their avg buy-in, are they playing to win, playing to cash, or just for fun? There are so many things you can know about a player with-in a few hands/mins of research on them.
If all these tools exist and your not using them, do you think your opponent who has all these same tools will beat you? They will unless you level the playing field!

#5 If you don't know the rules of the game, how can you expect to win? Knowing the hand rankings, how many people in your tourney/sng get paid, how much the rake is, and how much you need to win in order to overcome that rake are just a few things you should know.

It's good to notice how the bankroll management is adapted for every type of holdem. The rule of thumb is simple - the bigger the varience the more buyins you need 😁 For example if you play NL fullring cash games and you play a solid tight game you are good with 20 buyins. But if you play shorthanded games and your style is loose aggressive then a good idea is 35+.
Cheers 😉
