Andrey Rublev defeated last week's ATP Montpellier Champion Lucas Pouille in straight sets to maintain his perfect record in the first round matches this season. The Russian has played four tour events in 2018 and has managed to win the first round matches on all four occasions.

Like Rublev, Damir Dzumhur faced a last week's finalist (ATP Sofia) in his first-round match and did not allow his fatigued opponent, Marius Copil, to have a sniff at the match.

Damir Dzumhur has produced some exceptional results on indoor hard-courts in 2017. The Bosnian played 16 matches in these conditions winning 13 of them, including two consecutive title wins at ATP Moscow and ATP St.Peterburg. He eventually ran out of gas and ended his run of 11 straight wins (IH) against Tsonga at ATP Vienna (7-6 6-7 1-6), which also happened to be his final match of 2017.

Final in Doha WTA tournament, and we have two great strong and tall players, but both girls are in different factors for winning.

Let's talk about them :

Pėtra Kvitova (WTA 21) - She had two or even 3 brilliant weeks on Tour, she won title in St. Petersburg tournament, she won against many good players there, then she went to FedCup with her team and won here two. Now she is here in the final, before she reached a final here, Petra won against a lot top and ex top players, she proved that she can play against all. Only question how much energy she have left?

Garbine Muguruza (WTA 4) - Spanish player, who can play on all surfaces, doesn't matter its grass, hard or whatever. She have now coach, i guess Garbine in the right place now, we will see how good she will get. Spanish girl had rough start of the season, but now she reached a final, so that very good for her, finally something to win. Garbine won against few players, only one good opponent Caroline Garcia, with her she played 3 setter match.

In the end - Both players are quite strong and tall, have a great serve and can win a lot points because of it. Still Petra is slightly stronger in many ways, but Garbine is faster and more flexible. In my opinion, Petra must be tired already, she played 5 matches here and Muguruza only played 3 with off-day, so she can be very fresh, while Petra can struggle because of here schedule.
