FOXSports reported yesterday that Favre was on his way to St. Paul to meet with Vikings head coach Brad Childress, confirming previous suspicions that he was coming out of retirement AGAIN and signing with Minnesota. Then today we learn through numerous reports that the 39-year-old has in fact boarded a plane for St. Paul and is expected to sign a deal by tonight.

So far so good for the Vikings on their choice of bringing back Favre. But let's not be so quick to forget that the Jets looked great through the first few games last year, and then what happened?

Favre held off the Ravens today in a close one. I once tried betting on the NFL, but beating the spread was too difficult. Plus, it took away from my enjoyment of the game, but I did like when I won...

The Bret Favre/Adrian Peterson combo has proven unbeatable so far. The Vikes defense just caved the hell in today, only reason that game was close. On another note, you might try 2-game 7pt teasers. You get close enough to even money on it, and can take a huge edge against totals as well. Traditional bookies won't let you make small bets, but many of the online books do. Take advantage of this to bet up or down to what you are comfortable. You're right, it's no fun to bet with scared money. If it ain't fun - why do it?

Meant to mention that Bodog lets you make $1 bets. There are others that have minimums of $10 or so. It's always nice when there's an attached poker site too. You could start a bankroll with a little something you won at a forum game or a site roll.
