What is the best online poker room?

Reply Subscribe
My question is actually in two parts. And what I mean by "best online poker room," I'm asking about what is the best overall and which has the most credibility.

1) From what I've read, PokerStars is the best, with Full Tilt coming in second.

2) Is it worth playing online at all, considering the fact that a lot of people play using bots and other programs to give them a stronger advantage?

The biggest concern I have about playing online is whether or not it will help improve my game, considering you obviously can't see the players faces or study their body language. I've been doing very well at poker rooms in Vegas this past year, but I don't live there and I'm not ready to quit my job and go professional until I at least make it to the final round of a major tournament. But it would be nice to be able to practice with other serious players when not in Vegas.

I've been a bit technophobic when it comes to this sort of thing, but if it really does help improve one's game and strategy at brick-and-mortar tournaments, I suppose it's worth a shot.

All the pros that wants to stay on the top have to keep playing whether it's in Las Vegas or other brick and mortar establishments or online. If you want to get better see it as your profession and keep training to become a better player.

1) Now own to your main question, it's very difficult to say which poker room is the best but I would say pokerstars and full tilt is up there high but it also comes down to what you're looking to get.

Many poker players shops around and focus on different poker rooms. Too many sharks at one poker rooms makes alot of the other good players leave for another site.

What you can expect from pokerstars and fulltilt is great promotions and as long as you keep being a regular you're going to be feed with different promos which in turn can raise your bankroll.

There's a big competition among the poker rooms as well so sticking with the largest can be more lucrative.

But at those rooms things can also go very bad, expect getting crazy hands and even crazier hands from others.

2) Again it all depends what you're looking to get, if you're already doing well playing offline but you want to engage in games when you're not in Vegas well checking out online poker could be interesting. But as you say faces and expressions are "not available" so it's a different kind of game. You can also expect players online to multitable up to 30-40 tables at the same time where they automate their poker experience instead of having an enjoyable poker session.

But if your goal is to get better it would not hurt taking your brick and mortar experience to the online world and vice versa. Afterall your goal is to get better.

Hope I have helped you in some way

I totally agree with Edwin! Whatever site you choose, first, you must check if it is secure or not.
