Im playing for a month on worldwinner, earned over 300$ on clue mystery match only got top scores over 5300, there was no problem with money withdraw,
worldwinner has one big problem their "fair matching skill system" is a bulshit.

I find that this has been the case for alot of these tournament sites... I have played the beta version of GambitKing | Coming Soon which is launching next week. It allows you to view opponent match history, challenge and build lists of people you enjoy competing against. It is much more transparent and fair. They've got a great site coming out for people that like to play skill games for cash and for fun.

I have played briefly at worldwinner. I don't think they are dodgy at all but I think their
scoring system works in such a way that they pair you off with players of a similar standard. I think this is the reason why you often get pipped at the post by just one point which on the face of it seems suspicious. I don't like this method because there is no motivation to get better at the game because it seems there is no advantage to that, you just get paired off with someone around your level or slightly better.

Will provide an update shortly. Thanks for your continued patience. :dirol

Well I accidentally stumbled upon this link trying to find Worldwinner's website from work. I'm a real person and not affiliated with worldwinner - you can look me up on worldwinner - girlfriday8577
I'm from Canada and play only once in awhile. I know well enough that if you're gambling with real money, expect to lose. Gambling isn't a job or a way to make cash. I play to have fun and it's more exciting when you win, that you win actual money. I have never won much - the largest payout I got was $42 and change on a $7 wheel of fortune game. But with the reward points I've earned (and spent) I've only have to put in $50.00 of my own money and I have been playing since 2010.
If you keep buying lottery tickets but never win - is it a scam? No, because someone, somewhere wins. Just because it isn't you, doesn't mean it's a scam. You just have to accept that there's someone better than you at these games lol

And I'm not sure about those who say they don't get the money when they do win a tournement? If that's true then for sure look into that, I haven't had a problem re-depositing my winnings back on to my credit card? Since I"m from Canada, I do get taxed, but then it seems most of it comes back into my account (at least it did this year). I DO see lots of links to people saying that worldwinner is a scam... but for a casual user who has a job and is just playing for fun - it's perfectly fine.

Looked at my worldwinner account today. It says they put 10 bucks of game credits in my account to play on their site. Says I have played 31 games. And I have been a member for 8 years. :1orglaugh

In the spirit of full disclosure, I work with WorldWinner and want to respond to your questions/concerns. WorldWinner is in fact, a legitimate company and not a scam site as you imply. WorldWinner is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, and with more than 30 million registered players, WorldWinner hosts more than 20 million tournaments every month. You can find out more about the company by visiting: WorldWinner Cash Competitions.

Some points of clarification:

ON FAIRNESS: WorldWinner goes to great lengths to ensure that the casual game tournaments we provide are both fair, and contests of skill as opposed to luck. The goal of our competitions is to provide casual gamers with a forum for friendly competition and therefore, WorldWinner always serves as an impartial tournament host (players always compete against one another; never against WorldWinner). As such, we have no vested interest in the outcome of a tournament. In addition, WorldWinner matches players based on the FairMatching System to provide each player with opponents of an equal skill level. You can find additional details here: WorldWinner Cash Competitions - My Account (keyword: match).

ON TAXES: WorldWinner does report player winnings to the IRS as is required by law. We have worked directly with the IRS to ensure we follow their guidelines and send our players the appropriate tax forms with a clear explanation about IRS procedures. We also provide our contact information online and our customer support team is always available to provide more clarification about the tax forms we issue our players. If there's any confusion, players can easily reach a real person for a direct answer. Additional information is available here: WorldWinner Cash Competitions - My Account (keyword: tax).

If you have any additional questions, please respond to this post or send an email. We’re always happy to address your concerns. Thank you.

Mr. WorldWinner representative,

The company's Terms and Policies clearly states that there can be two accounts for one household/computer, which means that I and my wife can each have an account of our own and play games. Somehow, this company decided that we are in violation of such agreement, hence closing my account, discarding all winnings, discarding my deposit of winnings, and suspending my account. Yes, the company did refund my original deposit fee, but it kept all winnings I made and suspended any pending tournaments. This is just outrageous! I have been in contact with the company, quoting its own policies, yet the same replies kept coming in - I am in violation.....bla bla bla....without a clear explanation of how exactly am I in violation of its policies. Now I see and understand all these posts from other people. I wish I have done my research before I listened to my wife and signed on to this damn site. Thank you for nothing, WorldWinner!

HELLO!

I have been playing on worldwinner for the past 6 months and I have made my own investigation regarding how possible it is to win a tournament or game. Many times when I have had my best game ever, it's shocking to see that somebody else have managed to get 1 or 2 points more than me, this has happened many times, the longer I have played the more I can see a certain pattern in the games. I have won a few games over the past times, nothing big though, now worldwinner wants me to pay taxes on money that I have never received. It seems that I will not see any money at all from worldwinner.

Please help, what can I do ?

Is worldwinner a scam site ?

I played 1 day on worldwinner and won $181 in spades(took 3 hours) not bad BUT theym claimed i had only 52.11 coming to me. i sent them a screenshot of the games i played the cost to enter and amount i won. they still disagreed. so i took the 52.11 then like a damn fool im went back yesterday put 50 in and got booted on the 1st game of spades and the stillm havent acknowledged my email>>..... its a 25 minute drive to their office lmbo but you know what i learned something new once again. that $50 could of bought a few homeless people a nice meal and a shake or something. no drugs no alchohol just good old what they need. worldwinner is definitely a scam if you ask me and i had the extra money to try it so now i know. i ran across this site i have no idea how but i told them in an email i was going to start a website against them and spam every game room in yahoo for them. now that be funny s.... thanks Mr. Ben Had:dance:

The key ingredient that makes our games different from other online offerings is your own ability! We provide "skill-based" competitions with a FairMatching System specifically designed to eliminate elements of luck from the outcome.
We ensure that each game you play is equally as challenging as the one played by your opponent, so all you need to do is have fun! :1orglaugh

Completely agree! Played on worldwinner for months and repeatedly got beat by just a few points when my points were about as high as you could get. Plus tournaments with just 5 players that completed within minutes would stay open for hours when my scores were exceptionally high. Total scam!

Is worldwinner a scam site ?

Unfortunately, all of the horror stories your hear about WorldWinner are true. The company operates skill game competitions targeting new, unsuspecting players into competitions against one another. After winning a couple of competitions, the company than starts to match players of lower scores with players of much higher scores (& experience). Some of the players are actually bots (not real players) with really long alphanumeric names like Cindy33438834.pgo which is obviously not a real player that many times score higher than many of their opponents. The bots do not always win but in many cases do. The end result for the company is if you paid $1.00 for 2 entries and you play against 1 player and 2 bots, the company makes out with potentially all $3 in real money. Your chances of winning a competition in normal fair gaming are 1 in 5, but you might find that it is much more difficult to win 30% of the time once the company notices you are winning.

Example:

50 entries to 50 5-player contests = $50
Win 30% of the time, or 15 contests * 3.60 = $54

Net profit = $4

Now suppose you played a 5 player contest and was able to win 20% of the time (this is the norm)

Expected payout is not 20% as would be in a fair game because World Winner needs to take its cut.

50 entries to 50 5-player contests = $50
Win 20% of the time, or 10 contests * 3.60 = $36

Net loss = $14

Yes, that is right, you lost $14 for winning the expected average.

Let's look at what World Winner makes at a minimum.

The company pays $3.60 for 1st, $0.10 for 2nd, and $0.05 for 3rd = $3.75 per contest.

500 total entries for 50 5-player contests = $500 sign up fees
150 payouts (50 1st at 3.60, 50 2nd at 0.10, 50 3rd at 0.05) = $375 payouts

Company profit = $125

Amazing, World Winner profits $125 off of 50 games while someone who wins 30% of the time wins $4.

Even if you are really, really good and win 50% of the time, you would only make $65 while World Winner once again would make $125.

If Congress isn't allowing the major casinos to enable gamblers to play online, World Winner, which is not regulated by the Fair Gaming Commission, needs to be eliminated from accepting monetary wagers. They continue to rip off the public in an unsuspecting manner. Write to your governor and member of house of representatives and tell them what World Winner is doing. With your support, you can help shut down World Winner and this organized crime family once and for all.

I have been playing solitaire rush games and many people I've played against I've asked how they achieved such high scores. Their response is "I try to clear piles and lucky guessing."

So what exactly is skillful and FAIR about "lucky guessing?"
