The current policy is hypocritical

We can gamble on the lottery, racetrack, poker hall and gambling is LEGAL in more than 2/3 of the United States. But the politicians against internet gambling want to stop us from playing poker or blackjack in the privacy of our own home on our computer. Clearly you can see how hypocritical this sounds.

Take a look around - online gambling is here to stay. People who like to bet, play poker or blackjack will not be stopped.

The Unlawful Internet gambling can be stopped in the U.S. if the regulations are strong enough.

You're right is is hypocritical. The reason they are against it is because they can't figure out a way to get any of the money in their pockets.

If the US Govt can't tax it, or profit it from it somehow, it must be illegal.

In some ways it's the same thing as prostitution and the ever popular quest to legalize marijuana. To some people's minds these are both victim less crimes. Nevada had legal prostitution and collect payroll tax from it. If they legalized marijuana, they could tax it like cigarettes. So what is the difference with online gambling. Tax the hell out of it, and let the people play!
