- Dagenham & Redbridge were relegated to the bottom of the table last season and are now relegated to the National League South. However, a lot has happened since last season and now that an investment fund from Qatar has bought the club and invested in the squad. The most notable arrival is former Newcastle & Liverpool striker Andy Carroll, while last season's National League North top scorer Hemmings has also arrived. The same is true of several others, with four direct arrivals from EFL clubs in particular causing a stir at this level. They mean business at Dag & Red and are therefore big favourites to win the league.
- Dag & Red have the foundation to get promoted again at the first attempt. They are new and have brought in several players with experience from higher levels. Ebbsfleet were poor last season and need to build a new team. Nice approaches, but they have only played training matches and without success. Good chances for Dag & Red to open with a win.
