A highly anticipated match in the Serie A between two teams that are considered to be top 2 in Italy in recent seasons including this one. Juventus for years have now been able to edge Napoli in title races and this year the story so far seems the same as Juve are on top with Napoli 2nd. Juventus have won all 6 league matches while Napoli won 5 from 6, but with a win here Napoli would tie Juventus at the top! You’d have to say that Napoli simply can’t afford to lose this match and as for Juventus, well they have a chance to already extend their league to 6 against their main title rivals. This shapes up to be a fantastic match!
Key Facts

Team News
Juventus: De Sciglio and Khedira are both injured for the Italian champions while Douglas Costa is still serving suspension after his spitting incident. During their midweek match Max Allegri did rest some key starters such as Mandzukic, Chellini, Alex Sandro and 1st choice keeper Szczesny against Bologna and we expected all of them to return to the 1st team for this big match against Lazio. With Costa still suspended, Allegri has been picking either Bernardeschi or Dybala to play alongside Mandzukic and Ronaldo and with Bernardeschi showing fantastic form and Dybala scoring during the midweek, it will be hard to leave one of them out for Allegri so we’ll have to wait and see who he picks when the line-ups come out. Elsewhere, there’s nothing to report in terms of team news.
Napoli: Napoli also had slight squad rotation during their midweek match against Parma where they won 3-0. Hamsik, Mertens, Hysaj and Callejon both started from the bench with some sitting out the whole game due to a comfortable win and they are all expected to start against Juventus after getting some good rest. Vlad Chiriches is the only injury concern for Napoli. Other than star man coming back from rest, there’s not much to report in terms of Napoli. Ancelotti will be able to field a very strong line-up, pretty much his strongest 11 will be out. This is a huge game for Napoli.
Betting Tips and Predictions
You simply don’t bet against the Old Lady at home. Juventus to win at 1.80 is our first pick. On current form Juventus are unbeatable and their home record in recent 5 years speaks for itself. Napoli have always seemed to have crumbled under pressure in big games, just look at last season, they lost so many points against the big hitters and even when they beat Juve they ended up bottling the league to end the season anyway. This season although their record is 5W 1L in 6, we still have our doubts about Napoli. This also shapes up to not be a high scoring game. Juventus normally know how to keep clean sheets at home and shut their opponents down, but they themselves aren’t some high scoring side either, they normally settle for 2-0 wins as we’ve seen so many times in the recent weeks. Our prediction is a 2-0 Juventus win here so under 2.5 at 1.80 is the second pick and Juventus to keep a clean sheet at 2.40 is our third pick. In terms of goal scorers we should expect Ronaldo to score, he’s probably the best big game player in the world and he will be eager to score against his main title rivals.
