Hey! I know I am late getting into this field but I am really considering setting up a sports gambling information website... Many people tell me that they have run into a lot of problems advertising for their sites...so I was wondering if anyone had some ideas as to how I should go about advertising for a new site. Hopefully you have some cost effective ideas for me! Thanks!

Forums, search engines, banners and link exchange. All of this can actually be free if you choose to do it that way.

There are a load of different ways to build website traffic, but I’ll concentrate on the ways that cost little or no money.

Hand submissions to search engines and directories.
Website content (exclusive only)
eMail Newsletters
Linking in and out (only related sites)
Website Content Optimization
Blogs (build blogs and link to your site)
RSS

Building your website is a constantly evolving process!!

Yeah it doesn't just stop with building it and advertising it one time. It's something that becomes a part of establishing a website. For some people it take years for them to actually get there site ranked on the first page.

I wish you luck. It can take a while but you have a few people here that might check it out.
