I'm not sure how active it is compared to the US, but in Canada we have a sports betting system available where lottery tickets are sold called Pro Line.

It's of course more popular in the U.S as to the amount of people living there. I can also mention that the activity in canada is pretty high as well. With that said, NHL is pretty popular in north america!!

It's interesting to see how some of the southern areas respond to having NHL teams and Stanley Cup victories.
When Gretzky went to L.A., it sure made the game popular there at the time.
Personally, I think it's fitting that his name is only on the Cup as an Oiler.
