That is mental 😄 , kinda like when Sancho was racking up all those assists coming off the bench earlier this season

Wolfsburg have snapped Frankfurt’s 11 game unbeaten run and a 6 game home win streak in all competitions as they come away with a very impressive 1-2 win!

And it's their 2 in a row victories at home. Before last 2 games they were at the bottom and looked that there is no chance to show some potential and now they even have the same amount of score like Schalke 😄

Are Schalke in the relegation battle? Another loss today, 1 point clear of safety. Damn

They should come through with wins eventually, but yes this season has been shocking for them in the league so far

Dortmund vs Gladbach Preview

This Friday evening we have a Borussen derby between two rivals as Dortmund host Monchengladbach. This game is not only for bragging rights but it's an opportunity for one of these clubs to lay down a huge statement in the title race!

Dortmund are currently at the top with 39 meanwhile Gladbach are tied with Bayern for 2/3 places with 33 pts therefore Gladbach absolutely can't afford to lose as they would fall behind 9 points going into mid season winter break.

Dortmund's 6 game win streak and their unbeaten league season was surprisingly snapped by Dusseldorf this midweek when they lost 2-1 and that opened up an opportunity for their title rivals to cut the gap which they did as Gladbach beat Nurnberg 2-0 to cut a 9 pt gap to 6.

Dortmund are currently tipped as quite a big favourite and understandably so as they are playing at home where they've been near perfect with a 7W 1D 0L record and the highest scoring home record with 27 goals. They've scored at least 2 in every home Bundesliga game

Gladbach's biggest achilles heel right now is their away form. Gladbach are perfect at home with 8 wins from 8, but on their travels they have been struggling by winning just 2 games of 8 drawing and losing 3 each which essentially is the reason why they're behind Dortmund right now in the table.

Players to watch

Paco Alcacer (Dortmund): Tied top scorer in Bundesliga right now with 12 goals despite coming off the bench for more than half of the games this season strangely. He's been in great form all season long and has bagged at least one goal in each game at home this season in the league

Thorgan Hazard (Gladbach): Eden's little brother Thorgan has had quite a season himself as he's contribued for tied most goals this season in Bundesliga with 15 (9G 6A). Thorgan has consistently been scoring and setting up teammates with goals in the league and if Gladbach want to have a chance, their star playmaker has to be on his game here.

Recent H2H

Dortmund have been the dominant side between these two as they've won every game against Gladbach in the past 3 seasons winning all 6. Dortmund especially have been ripping Gladbach apart at home as they've beaten them here 4-0 4-1 6-1 in the past 3 meetings at the Signal Iduna Park scoring a ridiciulous 14 goals past Gladbach in the last 3 home games.

Prediction

My prediction here is a Dortmund win. Gladbach clearly tend to struggle to win away from home although one of those wins did come against Bayern but Bayern were in a god awful state of form at that time. Dotmund at home are a different animal, they will be gutted for losing their previous game and will absolutely look to bounce back. Dortmund's Home form, recent H2H and Gladbach's away form got me linking towards Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund -1 AH is my pick for this game and also over 3.5 goals as these sides are not only top 2 in the table, but also in goals scored. Dortmund to win 3-1

Here's some key team news

Neither Dortmund or B.M'gladbach barely has a fit centre-back between them for tonight's game

CB's injured

#BVB
Zagadou (started 9)
Akanji (started 13)
Diallo (started 12)

#BMG
Ginter (started 12)
Elvedi (started 14)

Goals over should definitely come through tonight

Dortmund win 2-1. Thought there'd be more goals, but a great win for Dortmund to go into winter break. If Bayern drop pts which is likely against a good Frankfurt side then it'd be a cherry on top

Will be interesting to see how the teams will look after this long break. With the stats I have IMO Bayern is the best Bundesliga regarding the overall statistic so for me the most intriguing thing abut Bayern possibilities to turnaround making the comeback. Very very important game for Bayern and Dortmund as well.
