That happens all the time. its even worse when u flop Ace high flush. not even a draw, but the actual nuts. and then someone calls with pocket Sevens.
This happened to me once and the turn and river were both sevens. bad thing is, he didnt even have the Seven to match the flush. That came on the river

Nothing like having your pocket rockets cracked by 5 j offsuit that calls a 10x preflop raise. Gotta love online poker ... lol

Actually I rarely get mad about bad beats. No point in it, especially if I made what I thought were the right plays. I get mad when I make a bad call or some other bad play. And I only get mad at myself. Getting mad at other people for the way they play is pointless.

Poker is a very complex game and this is something you dont find out in early stage of learning. It comes slowly and you get that special "AHA" feeling, sometimes multiple times.

You have a great hand and no point folding until your opponent bets preflop 10X the big blind. You think it all over and even clicks on "extra time". You decide to call him. Maybe he just tried to scare you off. Either way you have the best hand, right ?

Flop - he checks

How do you react to that ?

Do you know how he has played in similiar hands in earlier games ?

Unique playing patterns ?

It is wise to put focus on players around the table and not only on your own cards, learn how they are playing. So perhabst you dont run into another badbeat.

Crazy bets can last for a while with some luck but not longterm, he's the one with a busted bankroll eventually.

From time to time,I would meet what is called losing streak.I would lose to bad beat for several days. But that is normal. And the luck is fair. And my days will be back.

I think everyone has a tendancy to get upset when the bad beat hits. But I do what one of the other guys suggested, look at the hand and make sure I played it the best way I could. As long as I did that, then I am very happy. I know that long run, I will make profits by playing right and that if other people did not make betting mistakes that I would not be able to win their money. Poker would become a losing venture as I could only win by catching cards better than someone else, and I believe that the cards are truly random. I say it would be a losing venture because my long term results would be near zero, and the rake would push that seriously negative.

Best of luck to you.

You are a fool to believe that the outcome of a hand is random, you are correct in that the cards are dealt randomly and the players are random but the end result is not random, it is predetermined and nothing will change that. People calling with the dumbest hands are winning, maybe they have Super accounts like what happend on UB, which by the way "oh we found the accounts and will remove them" bad bad UB, so they get a slap on the wrist for allowing people to get ripped off as if they didn't know😑😑😑!!
