donks and venting

I know we have all had horror stories about people who play poker like it's a slot machine. It is sickning but yet very much apart of the game the same way we chase straights or flushes. However thier are a select few that take the cake so to speak.I was holding AA in the first position and raised the blind 4x's the value and was called by a player in the last position. The flop was 7 2 10 in that order.I push all in before the turn and he calls...wouldn't you know it he had 7-2 and on the river a queen.I lost that battle but it pissed me off greatly. The point im trying to make is donks don't win wars just battles from time to time.Share your horror stories with me and vent a bit because we all need to shake it off from time to time.

A95 rainbow and he goes allinn that will put me allinn with my trip A, no problems right... so ofcourse i call. he flopt trips to with his pp fives and then rivert the last 5. QUADS.....that was painfull:what:

In the money on the Daily Dollar the big stack at my table starts pushing every hand and stealing blind after blind until I get AJ of diamonds on the BB, which is about 1/8th of my stack at this point, and he has pushed out a bet worth like 2-3 blinds which is typical. I push all-in rather than just call as I felt I probably had him dominated based on his behavior to that point. Sure as **** he is dominated and shows A8 off suit. A45 flop, 8 TURN, Q RIVER. Oh well, it was a good point in the tourny to push that bet but I feel like I do keep getting screwed by FTP and other software programs BECAUSE I went all in. I can't tell you how many times I've seen all-ins with Ace and rags vs. Ace and rags and the lowest and/or middle hand almost always wins lately. Of course other times I see the donkey win with an all-in with ridiculous hands like 67 off against very strong hands as if the donkey is being protected. I'm probably reading stuff into it but I know others are experiencing this too. Moral of the story, you are never "GOOD" until you are really "Good". Donkeys who push Ace rags or other crap pre-flop when they have the chip lead, and even when they don't, are just trying to make it hard for you to make decisions and therefore take advantage of you by stealing blinds etc. Protect your blinds but don't be stupid. Call if you think you have em. Don't donk or it can get you as easily as it gets the other guy.

To me JJ are the worst. On Bodog I cant get by without having to face 2 overs all in before the flop. It seems that whenever I have JJ, someone always has 2 overs, and that person always calls my large preflop bet, and hits on the board

My worse one was live cash game for $2000. Pocket 7 against Pocket 3 and KQ off. Flop was 7 - 3 - Q. I bet my three 7's pocket 3's goes all in and KQ calls. so do I. Next Card is a K.He goes all in and I call. River is a 3.

I agree with this...especially when your tournament life was at stake and you get so happy that you are going to continue on. Life sucks after that hand is done. Screw poker. :what:
