AA Preflop

I have lost with AA 4 times in a row pushing all in preflop with aa ...the problem is im starting to think this is a bad way to play although i don't see how.Im just trying to get some feedback on how all of you play aa and to gain some knowledge on how to make the adjustment.

U know AAs eveybody says it a good hand but i dont think it is yesterday i had AQoff i was short stacked this guy went allin so i called and he had the nutts i was like damn flop came 3 hearts i had the ace of hearts turn nothing riv came and i got my flush 2 hands later he got them again and he won on them u never know if u are going to win or lose on them i know when i get them im always allin

I also play AA allin preflop; not the best way to play it but it is the easiest. I don't have to second guess myself at the flop on what/how to bet . The AA is the best starting hand then drops off on the flop/turn/river. If I only win the blinds or get the AA "cracked/beat" so be it. Nothing in this game is a certainty pre-flop but you have the strongest starting hand so I bet it that way.

The problem with going all in preflop is that most of the time everyone is going to fold, and you won't get paid off. I always try to get 1 person to call, although not TOO many because the more people in the hand, the better chance my Aces will get cracked.

Try betting five times the BB unless you're short stacked or that would be a large percentage of you stack.

I think it depends what poker site you are using. If you are on Bodog then push alot preflop with AA.

I ususally push from 500-1000 no matter what the blinds are and how many people are left in the tourney.

Every time I get pocket aces I get scared. I never usually push all in with it because there are so many other hands that can beat it. It's a very good hand but maybe suckout is my middle name. HAHA.

I like KJ suited a lot. That's a fun hand to play. BAM that's why it's fun to play.

Even being AA, it's still only a pair.. I always raise like 3.5~5BB, if someone pays and the flop is good to me (like rainbow cards or no pairs on the table) I go all-in

ALL-IN! OK OK, the best way I've found yet to play them is slow call. Truthfully, if you raise pre-flop you are letting your opponents know you have a pair or good suited cards at least. When you check and call, you disguise the fact that you have a top pair and if the flop/turn/river reveal no str8 or flush draws, you are PROBABLY good. If someone bets out on a King or something, you may be able to put them on that pair and know you have them. If the board pairs it is actually good for you most of the time as you would have top two pair. One caveat here. BE AWARE of three and four of a kind and full house possibilities. Often if you get a pair, someone else will too so be careful out there. Of course people will say I'm crazy to slow play those Aces but think about the odds. Probably 75% of people will fold if you go all-in. So you get blinds, that's probably it. If you raise pre-flop you will likely get called and could lose on the flop, throwing away good chips. Also, the odds are great pre-flop with Aces but inevitably if you run into a calling station or chasers, which there are alot of on FTP anyway, those 25% of people that hold on will probably win a high percentage of the time as two pair and up are much more common winning hands than just a measly pair, no matter how good of a pair it is. To be honest though, I still will push at certain times during a tourney with this hand, even all-in, but usually only when I know I will have a limited amount of opponents or if I haven't been seeing anything good at all for awhile and my chips are low.

AA can be a tourney help or tourney killer... u have to be careful with them
