All in at the begining?

I would think that everyone has been in an online tournament where there are thousands of players. You have the players that go all in, sometimes they win and other times they move on.

I know depending on the hand you have it determines if you go all in. Then again you can be bluffing and go all in. In a game where are thousands of players do you think it's a good idea to build up your chips at the begining or play a good game and see where you end up?

First of all, if you are playing in a tournament with thousands of players....Bluffing will not work in the beggining. Myself, I just lay low and only play premium hands. I let all the players who have no intention what so ever of sitting there for 6 hours to bet on nothing and then brag at how good they are.

Even if I have high suited cards, I will fold if a bunch of other players start calling all ins.

My suggestion, sit back and watch and then jump all over the players you know will call just about anything.

I feel that if it is a small prizepool freeroll with thousands of players, you should take a shot at the early all-inners and call or shove with good, but not necessarily premium hands. If you can double or triple up by shoving with A,10or K,Q suited, it gives you a great start, then you can go back to your normal game. If you get busted, you saved yourself a lot of time! If the prizepool is substantial, I agree with the previous post.

I'll only go allin or call an allin early in tournament if i have AA or KK. I'll try to get the odds in my favor as much as possible, if I only win the blinds that's the chance you take.

I think it depends on how much time you want to potentially invest. Nevertheless, I think avoiding all-ins in the beginning is the way to go unless you have a premium hand.

In the beggining?

Only with AA, KK and AK.

I was at a table where a opp was going all-in frequently....he amassed 4 x starting stack in the first 20 minutes then played a more conservative style. He lucked out three times, where his lower Ax and Kx and a 43s paired giving him the win. Sometimes he had the cards but most often he wasn't called. He was going to get the chips early or bust out. Is this the way to win these freerolls?

In my experience I have learned that once you put those chips out there you can take them back. In the beginning of a tounament when you got everyone going all in almost anything can happen. Even if I have AA or KK, I'll try to make good value bets preflop. Even then some idiot might still go all in with suited connector etc. Then I will call but I would rather see a flop by choice. All that said, I never go all in preflop "at the beginnig!" too risky. After a high reraise i have even folded AA, KK after a flop that's a flush or a tight strait, etc. But these are rare occosions.

Know when to hold em...............No when to fold em.......... lol
You probably can get better advice on this from the more experineced players.

It depends for me. If it is a freeroll and it has a decent payout, I will play a solid game. If it is low. I might do an all in. X

It's fun and exciting to play both ways, however, I find it easier to stay in the game when I've got plenty of time to play and I'm relaxed. As for going on in, hummm, depends on the cards.

I think going allin at thke beginning is a bad idea because even if your holding aces theres always donk players that call for the chance they might get lucky and quite often theres more than one at a table and more than likey someone will get lucky and smack your nice cards and u end up losing because wome donk called and got lucky

All in can and does often lead to all out game over. I do not recomend this type of play at all, or at anytime if you want to be a serious poker player. But if you are just killing time and do not take your game serious go for it. Somebody will be more than happy to take your chips. Ask yourself would I play this hand if I was playing for a million dollars. I find that my learning stage have been fun. Now I am playing to win as much as I can and will not allow myself to develop bad habbits especialy in early stages of play. Just wait your turn your cards can and often will come if you are patient.

The only players going all in are the ones trying to get lucky and even if they do get lucky they always end up blowing it 15 minutes l8r

All in depends on the cards in hand.
