Yup, it is like the Full tilt academy. I find this better though because you get to read all the info at your own pace and they have video training involved in the lessons. you actually play a hand and it tells you if you were right or wrong. Very interesting stuff. And very helpful.

There's actually a button at the top that says poker school now...definitely like it better than the full tilt equivalent so far, good find!

Lol....I think of myself as an average poker player....I have my moments...Well, I took the Sit and Go quiz (without reading any instruction...just to see how I would do) and....I got 53%.....lol. Failed badly😡! Felt like I was in High school again.
After reading the course and doing the practice playing....I got 90%....So....even if you think you may know it all.....There is always something to learn.

I started playing yesterday. Only took a minute to register and take a short quiz to get the freeroll ticket. There are four freerolls per day. I cashed in the fourth freeroll of the day yesterday for a whopping .08. Hopefully these freerolls will help my playing and bank. X

Been doing these freerolls for a while and just really annoyed at the really spread out payout structure. Finishing 50th and 250th in a 1000 tourney only gave me $0.03 more.
And I've been noticing that many people are just sitting out at these tournaments. It's really quite frustrating. How do you guys deal with sitters?

The sitters are there just hoping that they luck out and can slide into the bottom money when the live players bust each other out. [Either that or they'll show up when their stack is half, or more, gone and push it all on their first hand.] It's stupid and discourteous, but there's nothing to stop it the way PokerStars -- or most other rooms -- works. [They really need to implement the AbsolutePoker/UltimateBet mechanism of removing players who have entirely sat out in a freeroll at the end of level 1.]
If you're at such a table and are not fortunate enough to have all the dead stacks to yourself, you'll have to decide how you want to play it. If there's 6 or less players, I'd say treat it as a short-handed [4- or 6-max] game and adjust accordingly. If you're stuck playing basically HU, play it like a HU game.

Yup....I have placed in 7 of these so far. Have yet to make the inal table so I am only raking in a few cents each time. To be honest, they are no fun anymore. Always 6 to 7 sitters and that just takes away from the whole game. The only way to make any ok money is to finish in the top 6 and that would take almost 4 hours. Much prefer that they lower the payouts. Don't like the idea that someone who isn't even playing can cash in.

Well end of the 3 month of PSO skill league is here and will finish in the top 50 again - three in a row (out of 9k). :dance:
It's not about the individual tourneys, but those end of the month league points and the $$$$ that goes with it. I normally just play a little over half of the month and get my $50.
