Online gambling website Bodog-com was out of service Monday and remained inoperative Tuesday, apparently due to a $48.6-million default judgment obtained by a Las Vegas company against Bodog in a patent infringement case. By Tuesday afternoon, Bodog had established a new website, NewBodog , which is virtually identical to the old site and enabled Bodog clients to resume their online gambling activities.

The Bodog.com brand is yet another name in a long list of internet gambling related domain names who have been targets of Molnick. The other names include Ladbrokes.com, Sportingbet.com, and BetInternet.com. However, Bodog has been registered as a trademark owned by Ayre for some time.
The dispute continues, but it clear that Bodog are not going to give up easily. However, 1st Technology LLC has appointed a dedicated multi firm team to work on the situation. This legal battle will take time to concude but is certain to set some precendents.

That is crazy. It is pretty obtuse that a big time operation such as Bodog would lose out on their domain name rights!
