Still too many “ifs” and uknowns in Euroleague, because of its early start, when most of the teams played just one official game. It’s very hard to understand style of game from such amount of games, so I prefer to limit my activity and prepare for next rounds. So far only one pick for tonight and it is free for all.
Zieliona Gora – Zalgiris
There is no big difference between these clubs to put Zalgiris as -5 favorite in Poland. Yes, Zalgiris shakened its roster and added well known players (Pocius, Seibutis, Kalnietis, Voughukas, Botum), but at the moment half of the team looks just bad because of busy summer and other half has zero Euroleague experience. Maybe the reason why line moved so much (Zalgiris was opened as -3 fav) is huge fan support, which Zalgiris should get in Poland or J.R.Reynolds missing for Zielona Gora. But Reynolds is quite poor player and so far Zeliona Gora use healthy rotation.
Zielona Gora has won all their home games last season in Poland league, saved coach and improved their roster by adding players with international experience. Ponitka, Bost, Zamojski, Moldoveanu, Kozsarek, Hryczaniuk, Swevzczyk, Borovnjak – quite experienced players, who can hurt such teams as Zalgiris especially at home.
I can agree that Zalgiris has around 50% chances to take victory here, but -5 line is just too high for them. This is a 50/50 game as for me.
