Match of the day for us is Roger Federer versus Miloš Raonič, why this match? That’s a easy answer. We still remember last year Wimbledon semifinal between these two grass court experts. Match of the young and the experienced, match of the titans. Sadly we remember how it ended for Roger Federer, he got himself injured, but he didn’t quit the match – Noo, no way. Like a real fighter he fought and lost at the end of very spectacular match. So what will happen this time?

Roger Federer – First thing to say, its different Roger than last years Roger. What different this year ? Roger won a grand slam title again, finally. A grand slam title he dreamed so long, he won it in good fight and he deserve it. This year he is well, not injured, but had a little cold, but his wife cured that away easily. A new younger for us Roger is playing very well, he enjoys it much. Swiss player have all player need to be successful at grass court at this age. Strong first serve – 115 Mph, you can say its not enough in men tennis these day’s, but don’t forget how well Roger serves it, he knows every spot to hit and make it very hard for his opponent, and he make’s 10 aces per match average. Second serve is very slow sometimes is only 85mph, but its not problem, he even make’s ace with this serve speed, its because of spin and trajectory. Forehand, backhand is on fire like always it is biggest gun’s for Roger. Thing to say he missed clay season, so we should worry about his power level and how much energy he have.

Miloš Raonič – Last year finalist, this year is struggling a little bit, after Roland Garros he played only one tournament on grass, at Queens, where lost to T. Kokkiniakis, after that one exhibition match and Wimbledon. We see he is getting in best shape here at Wimbledon, so everything is going up the hill. Tower of Tandilus, have a great serve, very strong player, we all know he is great server, but that’s not all, he is also very talented player on court, not only he uses his height to serve great ace’s, but long legs and hands help him on the court at rallies, near net or on baseline. Its not surprise he had reached QF again this year, it won’t be surprise to see him in final, maybe this year for him is harder, but no surprise he is very dangerous on grass, so we need respect him.

Comparing players : Most comparable thing is serve – 124 mph for Canadian, very strong serve and more than 20 aces per match. Roger is not so good at serving comparing to Milos, but we talked about it before. Service return its very interesting topic, we can say Roger is very good at return, but Canadian very good server, Milos is quite good at return, but Roger is good at serve… Speed and rallies? Both players are quite strategic fast, they know how to hit, where to run after, both have a lot of strength left, but we slightly put Roger favorite in “battery” and how much power is left. Grass court statistics everyone knows Federer is absolute hero these day’s 162/25 at career and 9/1 this season, good statistics is still growing up. Roger won title at “Halle” again, its ninth time in his career. Raonič have a 35/19 grass court win/loose rate, and 4/2 this season, not so impressive yet, but he is young, he can make decent rate too and most important thing he have potential to do it and he will do it. We wont compare titles at Wimbledon, we know it already.

What to expect ? Expect unexpected. – Our team is waiting for last year semifinal show, but with different ending, we can’t say much about it, it’s just to hard, if both players will play their game, we will see a very intriguing match, but at the end everyone wants to see Roger win title again..
