UEFA CL: Juventus vs Manchester United Betting Tips

Juventus will seek to clinch a spot in round of 16 as they host Manchester United. Juve have been flawless in Europe so far with 3 wins from 3 and many expect this to continue tonight. Juventus put on a defensive masterclass and completely shut down Man Utd at Old Trafford prompting Mourinho to say that Chiellini and Bonucci should teach defensive lessons at Harvard. Man Utd have hit some good form in the past few weeks but this game is arguably their biggest of the season so far as they could fall below 2nd in the group if they lose assuming Valencia win so there’s a lot to play for tonight.

Team News

Juventus: Douglas Costa, Can, Bernardeschi are all unavailable for Juventus, however there’s a possibility that Mandzukic could feature but it looks unlikely. With Costa and Mandzukic our we’ve seen Dybala and Cuadrado start alongside Ronaldo up front and we can expect the same here. Chiellini and Alex Sandro were rested during the weekend and will return into the starting lineup. Elsewhere there’s nothing to report.

Manchester United: Jose will be without his striker Romelu Lukaku therefore we can expect either Rashford or Sanchez to start up front for United. Diogo Dalot is also out, however Valencia and Fellaini have returned to training and traveled with the squad in hopes to feature against Juve which doesn’t seem likely considering they’ll lack match fitness. Elsewhere there’s no news to report.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Juventus are tipped as favourites here at 1.66 and we can’t disagree with that. Juve were dominant at Old Trafford and it’s tough to expect things to change now that they travel to Italy. Juve are clearly the more experienced, more solid European side therefore we’re expecting them to come away with a win. We’re expecting an under in this game. Juventus are clearly too good defensively for United’s attack and they don’t normally go on goal scoring sprees as they like to settle for 1-0/2-0 results as that’s how they’re built. Ronaldo should be able to bag a goal tonight as his drought in UCL has to come to an end eventually. Our prediction for tonight is a 2-0 win for Juve. Juventus to win and under 2.5 goals to be scored at 3.70 has value.
