In the final game of FIFA World Cup 2014 quarter finals Netherlands will meet Costa Rica.
As one of the top European schools of football , Netherlands crashed all the three games at the group stage easily to face Mexico in the last 16 games where she suddenly took it easy until the last few minutes of the match before qualifying for the quarter finals thanks to the goals scored by Arjen Robben and Jan-Klaas Huntelaar.
Brazil 2014 showed us vividly that there is always that unexpected team like Costa Rica in any tournament which makes the game so exciting! Costa Rica somehow managed to lead the most talented group after beating Uruguay and Italy to move further to face Greece in a thrilling game which lasted not only 120 minutes but also included penalties whereby the Greeks had to say “Adios” to Brazil.
In this match; Netherlands will have a quick start and make sure that the match is not left to the last minutes I am sure. The coach, Van Gaal, has wisely combined the experienced players such as Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben as well as Robin van Persie and Huntelaar with the youngsters.
As for Costa Rica they have accomplished what they aimed for by reaching the quarter finals. However no one must be misled by the expectation that they will easily give in with their capable players like Bolanos, Bryan Ruiz and Joel Campbell who all help the coach Luis Pinto’s work most fruitful.
