Coppa Italia: Inter - Lazio Betting Preview

After some crazy Wednesday night results, the Coppa Italia QFs continue as Inter Milan host Lazio in San Siro!

To start off with Inter, they’re currently the 3rd best Italian side this season, however they are coming off a couple of poor results in the league dropping 5 points in the previous 2 games.

Inter have been relatively dominant at San Siro this season, if you look at their home form this season they’ve only lost ONE game across all competitions and they’ve been able to be strong defensively, for example they only conceded 4 goals in Serie A at home.

In Coppa Italia, Inter entered the competition in the previous round and won their lone cup game against Benevento comfortably smashing them 6-2.

Mauro Icardi is of course the danger man for Inter as the star striker has 14 goals for the club already this season and has been scoring pretty much every other game.

Meanwhile, Lazio haven’t had the best of seasons so far as they’re only 8th in the Serie A but have been able to stay in Coppa Italia.

Lazio are coming off back to back big game defeated losing to Napoli 2-1 and Juventus 1-2 where they surrendered a goal lead within 15 minutes to go which could definitely down their morale.

Lazio have particularly struggled away from home in the past couple of months winning just 1 of their previous 6 away games across all competitions.

Lazio have lost all of their big away games this season losing to Juventus, Roma, Atalanta and Napoli. In fact in general they haven’t won a big game yet this season.

Lazio made the Quarter Final of Coppa Italia by beating lower league side Novara comfortably 4-1 at Home. That was their only game of the competition as they entered in the previous round just like their opponents Inter.

Ciro Immobile is the man to watch from the Lazio side as the striker has bagged 14 goals just like his opponent Icardi this season.

Inter have battered Lazio in their only meeting this season with a 0-3 win away from home.

Lazio have actually had decent success playing at San Siro against Inter with a 2W 2D 1L record against them in their last 5 visits there and one of those involve Coppa Italia meeting in 2017 which Lazio won 1-2.

Bookies have Inter as favourites to win in 90 mins at 2.12 and to qualify at 1.55. Lazio to win is 3.35 In 90 mins and to qualify 2.40. A draw after 90 mins is tipped at 3.55. Odds at Unibet.

Team News

Inter Milan: Sime Vrsaljko is out for Inter meanwhile Keita Balde is back in training but is unlikely to feature. Otherwise everyone else are available.

Lazio: Luiz Felipe and Patric are definitely out for Lazio while Adam Marusic is questionable as he’s in line for a come back.
