Coppa Italia: AC Milan vs Lazio Betting Preview

AC Milan host Lazio in the 2nd leg of the Coppa Italia Semi Final as both sides will look to advance to the Final!

The 1st leg resulted with a 0-0 draw in Rome as neither side were able to find the breakthrough thus neither side have and advantage coming into the 2nd leg.

Coming into to this game AC Milan have been on a run of some really poor form only managing 1 Win from their last 6 games (2D 3L) and they’re coming off a disappointing 1-1 draw against Parma in their last game.

Lazio have also been playing very poorly only managing 1 Win from their past 5 games losing 3 of them including losing most recently to the bottom side of the Serie A at home in Chievo 1-2 which was quite an embarrassing defeat to take.

AC Milan have been a good side at home this season with a rare poor results but mostly they’ve been winning their game at San Siro. They’ve won 5 of their last 7 games here and have kept 5 clean sheets too making them very solid defensively here. Milan won their most recent home game ironically against Lazio just under 2 weeks ago in the Serie A with a 1-0 result.

Lazio have not been a good away side this season and their current away form is a big problem especially considering they need an away result here. Lazio have lost 4 of their last 6 away games winning just once and they’ve lost in each of their last 2 travels to Spal and AC Milan losing both times 1-0. Definitely not a side that performs well on their travels.

Krzysztof Piatek is the man to watch for AC Milan of course. Been great ever since coming here scoring 11 goals and although he’s been scoreless in his last two, don’t expect this goal drought to last for long as he has been on fire the whole season pretty much. Piatek has already scored many big game goals for AC Milan such as against Juventus, brace vs Napoli, brace at Atalanta and a goal at Roma so he loves a big occasion when it comes.

Ciro Immobile is the man to watch for Lazio who is yet again having a great season with 18 goals in all competitions of which 3 have come in the Coppa Italia in 3 apps in the competition. He’s been scoreless in 3 games in a row, but without a doubt he still is Lazio’s most dangerous man when it comes to scoring goals and will be expected to deliver if Lazio want to go to the Final.

Milan and Lazio have faced each other 3 times this season altogether and we’ve only see one goal combined in these 3 games. Both meetings in Cup and the League ended 0-0 in Rome while the league meeting in Milan was a 1-0 AC Milan win. It definitely has not been the most entertaining fixture this season.

AC Milan have dominated Lazio at San Siro during this whole decade only losing to them once in 13 meetings since 2010 (6W 6D) though draws have been common in this fixture here, furthermore Milan have been unbeaten against Lazio in 5 straight home games (3W 2D). It definitely hasn’t been a place Lazio enjoyed coming to when it comes to facing AC Milan.

AC Milan are very narrow bookies favourites to win this game in 90 mins tipped to win at 2.60 while Lazio are 2.80 to win with Draw offered at 3.25. Lazio are however favoured to advance tipped at 1.65 while Milan to advance is 2.20 and that partly is because Lazio didn’t allow AC Milan to get an away goal at home which works to their advantage as one goal from Lazio would mean Milan would need 2. Odds are based on Unibet.

Team News
