Nizhny Novgorod – Fenerbahce Ulker
Nizhny Novgorod is hosting Fenerbahce Ulker in Russia for week 2 game of top 16 2015. At the1st week of top 16 Nizhny had a spectacular road win in Milan against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, while Fenerbahce lost against CSKA Moscow in İstanbul after over time.
Although Nizhny is a newcomer to Euroleague this season, the team performed very well up to now. Taylor Rochestie was the MVP of the last week thanks to his great performance against Milan. Tarrence Kinsey, Trey Thompkins and Artsiom Parakoushki are also in top form and the supporters expect them to continue their good performance against Fenerbahce Ulker this week. Evgeny Baburin and Levan Patsatsia of the hosting side have potential to play key roles for their team. Head Coach Ainars Bagatskis had lead his team perfectly in the regular season especially in the defense and this helped the team to score easy fast-break points.
For Fenerbahce Ulker top 16 did not start very well. Just because of small details they lost the 1st week’s game against CSKA Moscow unluckily. Actually they got many chances to win the game but they were not able to use them.After the transfer of Nikos Zizis the team seemed to be more organised both in the defense and offense. However when Andrew Goudelock is in the game the team’s defending resistance is really poor, but on the other hand he is a great scorer. Therefore coach Obradovic needs to find a solution for him to be more contributing to his team. For this game Fenerbahce needs to use big men Jan Vesely and Semih Erden effectively in the paint. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nemanje Bjelica are the other key players for the Turkish side for this tough away game.
We are expecting a game with a high score as both teams love to play fast basketball. But if Fenerbahce can be organised at the defense, they will be the winning side. For Nizhny this game will be much more difficult than the Milan game, however they have a player like Taylor Rochestie and he has got the potential to decide the game. Instead of betting for the winner side, it will be more safe to bet on the score.
