EPL: Liverpool vs Everton Match Betting Preview

Title contenders Liverpool will look to keep pace with the league leaders Man City as they host their arch rivals Everton in a derby filled Super Sunday! Liverpool are coming off a frustrating Champions League loss to PSG which put their hopes of qualification at huge risk but they must move on from that and focus on this game against their rivals Everton who themselves have been playing some great football recently and are certainly no pushover. Liverpool have a tendency to dominate this fixture but as mentioned already, Everton can’t be overlooked and Liverpool need to put in a good shift here.

Team News

Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp will have some key decisions to make. Jordan Henderson is suspended with an injury meaning someone will have to fill the midfield slot as Keita, Shaqiri and Fabinho all seek to make a start. Adam Lallana has also returned to training and couple be an option. Injury wise only the fringe players are listed as doubts in Origi, Solanke and Clyne so Klopp doesn’t have many worries when it comes to that. Alexander-Arnold should come back in at RB for Gomez after sitting out the PSG game. Elsewhere expect things to stay the same.

Everton: Marco Silva doesn’t have any worries when it comes to injuries as he’s got a fully healthy squad. Ademola Lookman is now fully healthy aswell which wipes the injury list clean for Marco Silva and he’ll be able to name a full strength lineup. The lineup is likely to be similar as last week if not completely the same.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Clearly here Liverpool are the big favourites, however this may not be an easy game for them. Everton have clearly shown decent form recently while Liverpool been up and down which could make this quite an intriguing game. Under 2.5 goals is our pick at 2.28. Liverpool are very good defensively at home as mentioned but they shouldn’t be able to go on a scoring rampage as they haven’t really been doing that this season anyway plus Everton have looked solid defensively recently anyway. We do believe that Liverpool will find a way to win this game but it’ll be like a 1-0/2-0 game at most. Liverpool to keep a clean sheet is worth a try given that they’ve conceded 1 goal in last 11 BPL home games.
