EPL: Chelsea - Everton Betting Tips

Chelsea will seek to continue to maintain their undefeated season as they host a tough in form Everton side. This will be Ross Barkley’s first game against his former club and he’ll be hoping to put on a good showing. Chelsea are coming off a tough win in Belarus on Thursday where they didn’t look their best so they’ll be looking to improve on that performance. Everton have won 3 of their last 4 league games and will seek to end their winless run at Stamford Bridge.

Key Facts

Chelsea are the only unbeaten European side from big 5 leagues in all competitions with 14W 3D 0L.

Alvaro Morata is the man in form for the Chels with 4 goals in his last 4 league apps. He scored 2 last week against Palace.

Chelsea are the second highest scoring team in the league with 27 goals in 11 games (2.4 per game).

Chelsea have only kept 1 clean sheet in 6 home league games. 7 of the 8 league goals that they’ve conceded have come at home.

Chelsea are unbeaten against Everton at Stamford Bridge for 23 straight Premier League games (13W 10D). They’ve not lost to Everton at home in 28 straight in all competitions (17W 11D).

Everton have been in form winning 4 of their previous 5 Premier League games.

Team News

Chelsea: Chelsea are expected to have all of Morata, Luiz, Rudiger and Alonso back after not making a trip to Belarus. The blues had a few 1st team players starting the game on Thursday which include Hazard, Pedro and Jorginho and we also saw Barkley start over Kovacic which indicates that Sarri may have rested Kovacic for this game. Hazard and Jorginho will both start while Pedro will hope that his good form will repay him with a start over Willian. Azpilicueta and Kante both sat on the bench too but are expected to start here. Fabregas has suffered an illness and is likely to be completely out while Loftus-Cheek has a minor back injury and is questionable.

Everton: Everton could be without their star man in Richarlison who missed training and is a doubt. Furthermore Kurt Zouma is not allowed to play due to Chelsea being his parent club so we expect Yerry Mina to fill in for him. Jagielka and James McCarthy are likely to be fit while Kenny is out for the Toffees.

Betting Tips and Predictions

In this game we’re expecting a Chelsea win of course but it shouldn’t be easy. Everton have struggled against Chelsea in recent decades especially at Stamford Bridge plus this season they’ve already lost both games against big 6 opposition so it’s hard to expect them to get anything out of this, especially if Richarlison doesn’t play but Everton are not pushover and rarely get pounced by a big score line. We do anticipate both teams scoring here which should also lead to an over even if Richarlison is out, Everton have other good players like Sigurdsson, Walcott, Tosun who can get goals.  Chelsea are suspect defensively especially at home and Everton have a talented attacking side but they aren’t so good defensively. We expect this to be either a 2-1 or a 3-1 win for Chelsea. In form striker Morata to score anytime is priced at 2.20. Ross Barkley is priced to score at 3.10 against his former club. We do believe that either one of them will get on the scoresheet.
