EPL: Arsenal - Liverpool Betting Tips

This weekend we have a great one as Arsenal host Liverpool at the Emirates as both teams will look to get a statement win! Last season these sides provided one of the best games in this exact fixture and we’ll be hoping for much of the same here. Arsenal have looked revitalised this season but they haven’t beaten a big team yet, in fact losing both of their played games against Big 6 sides so there’s still something to prove whereas Liverpool have been a little better in big games having beaten Spurs, also drawing Chelsea and Man City. Both sides are dangerous good going forward therefore we can expect an entertaining end to end game with lots of goals!

Key Facts

Liverpool have surprisingly been an underish side this season with just 2 over 3.5 games and only 5 over 2.5 games. On average there are 2.4 goals in their games and that thanks to their improved defense.

Liverpool have the 2nd best defensive record in the league with 4 goals conceded and 6 clean sheets in 10 games.

Liverpool’s attack is starting to click with 9 goals in precious 3 games. Salah has returned to form with 4 of those goals.

Team News

Arsenal: Arsenal have been hit with an injury crisis as some key players are in doubt of playing. Both full backs Bellerin and Monreal are both huge doubts, furthermore Kolasinac is also a doubt therefore we could see Lichsteiner fill in at RB and Xhaka to move to LB. Sokratis has returned from injury but didn’t come off the bench last week. Guenduozi is suspended after being sent off against Blackpool midweek so Ramsey is likely to return into the starting line-up. During the midweek game all the key stars were rested or came off the bench for a short cameo so the team will be fresh coming into this fixture.

Liverpool: Liverpool are very likely to be without Henderson and Keita meaning their midfield is weakened again. Last week we saw a surprise inclusion of Lallana but he’s unlikely to feature here. We can expect Milner to return into the starting lineup alongside Wijnaldum and probably Fabinho in midfield. We can also expect Robertson to return to the starting lineup after Moreno got a start last week. Elsewhere expect no changes, the front 3 are all healthy, while van Dijk, Lovren will likely partner up in the central of the defense with Alexander-Arnold at RB and Allison in goal.

Betting Tips and Predictions

In this game Liverpool are tipped as favourites at odds as low as 1.97! Arsenal’s injury crisis is definitely part of that reason and if their full backs can’t go this game could definitely turn ugly for them considering how strong Liverpool are going forward. Arsenal have struggled against big sides in recent memory and this game looks no different. In our opinion, Liverpool will come away as the winners. Whichever defense shows up that team will win and clearly Liverpool are more equipped to hold Arsenal off than Arsenal are to hold Liverpool off. Over 3.0 goals at 1.80 is a good pick considering that these teams always put on a show, you can even go higher if you like high odds. Salah and Mane should have a field day in this game if indeed Monreal and Bellerin are out therefore we’d back either one of them to score. Arsenal themselves going forward will cause problems but as mentioned again we simply see Liverpool’s defense doing a better job than Arsenal’s. The prediction for this game is a 2-3 win to Liverpool.
