Premier League is back and today we’ll see very interesting game against two very strong team – Liverpool and Chelsea.
Both of them aren‘t in the best position of the table because both Liverpool and Chelsea fights for first place but there‘s Manchester City, who has nine points advantage against Chelsea and 12 against Liverpool.
Liverpool host Chelsea at home but in last few years Reds has shown that there‘s no home advantage. In the last nine games between these teams the home side have failed to win. Liverpool have not beaten Chelsea at Anfield since 2012 (six matches), the three most recent of those have ended 1-1.
Liverpool's last win against Chelsea at Anfield was a resounding 4-1 victory in 2012. Five years later, Jordan Henderson is the only player still playing for his club.
Both teams played in Champions League last week. Chelsea didn't have difficulty with Qarabag and have beat them on result 4-0. Liverpool had different match – they have lead against Sevilla in the first half on result 3-0, but match have finished with sensational result – a draw on result 3-3.
Both teams have a really good results in the last five league games. Chelsea have four wins in a row, Liverpool – three in a row. Both of them lost just only one game.
There’s no doubt that both of them wants to win this game. But in my opinion and how shows history against these two sides, better chances to win this game has Chelsea, who have scored nine goals in last three games and didn’t conceded anyone.
Chelsea have two very dangerous players in attack – Eden Hazard have scored four goals in his last five league games - and he also scored against Qarabag in midweek. The big star for The Blues so far however, is Alvaro Morata, who has scored eight and assisted four goals in his first 12 league matches.
The biggest Liverpool star of the season is Mohamed Salah – his brace against Southampton took his tally to nine goals in the Premier League, making him top-scorer in the league after 12 games.
