Arsenal Team Preview

Arsenal

It’s a new era at the Emirates. The legendary Arsene Wenger has stepped down after 22 years of service and he has been replaced by the former PSG coach Unai Emery who will take the reigns of the Arsenal in hopes of reaching the legendary status of the ONE ARSENE WENGER. Arsenal are coming into this season with high hopes after the former two ended in disappointing 5
th and 6th league finishes meaning Arsenal haven’t even managed to qualify for the Champions League for back to back years and this is going to be something that Arsenal will have as their primary target (qualifying to UEFA CL). Arsenal fans expect their club to be back in top four this year and although this team has been underachieving in recent years, you’d have to give them a legitimate shot at getting top four this year due to the fact that there’s a new beginning and now Aubameyang will get a full season under his belt and Arsenal have brought in some decent depth in the transfer window signing players like Lichtsteiner, Sokratis, Leno etc. Arsenal are expected to play a similar style as to what they’ve been doing in recent years which is fluid attacking football with lots of quickness up front. The weaknesses in Arsenal’s play is their defence, they haven’t really bought in any top class defenders, they looked shaky at the back in pre-season which is a worry and they only signed defensive players that can supply depth but not players that are much better than they already had at the back, plus losing Koscielny early in the season is a big blow and their backline could be worsened compared to last year which was a very average backline. Arsenal will be massively relying on their midfield and attack talent and they could be the team that would just go out there to out score you so expect many high scoring games whenever Arsenal are involved.
