EFL Cup – Manchester City - Fulham Betting Tips

This Thursday night we have an EFL Cup tie between two Premier League sides as Man City host Fulham for the place in the Quarter Final. Man City have been flying high and look like the team that won the league last season meanwhile Fulham have looked tragic and have conceded more goals than any other Premier League side this season which is not a record you want coming up against Man City. City are the massive favourites, but could we potentially see a cup upset?

Team News

Manchester City: Man City will likely rotate for this game but still should be able to field a strong squad. Back up keeper Claudio Bravo is still absent with a long term injury therefore expect youngster Muric to come in to start as he did in the previous round with Ederson likely rested. Gundogan and Danilo are massive doubts while Delph could be back. Expect some youth involved too including Phil Foden. Kevin de Bruyne could make a start to improve his match fitness after coming off the bench against Spurs on Monday.

Fulham: Fulham are going to be without Kevin McDonald and Joe Bryan with suspension and injury. Expect some rotation from Jokanovic too as Fulham need to primarily focus on the league survival so this is expected to be a weakened side.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Everything in this tie adds up to a dominant Manchester City Win. Fulham are looking awful and with that defensive record it’s hard to expect them to hold off the deadliest attack in the country. Even with a roasted side, City will have multiple top class players like potentially Sane, Jesus, De Bruyne so there shouldn’t be any problem for them to dominate. City -2.5 AH is priced at 1.85 and over 3.5 goals is priced at 1.70. Both of these bets should come through if nothing silly happens, also City to win to nil at 1.80 looks decent considering that they have been defending extremely well this season. The prediction for this game is a rampant 5-0 Manchester City win simply because Fulham are tragic right now and City normally punish these types of teams by a big score line.
