Concepcion challenger tournament on clay

In the first round, 20-year-old Darderi 206 ATP meets 31-year-old WC Andreozzi 368 ATP. The Argentinian plays on his own continent and came back very well after an injury last season and not only ended last year by winning the Temuch tournament in Chile on hard court, but also reached the quarter-finals of the Tigre tournament on clay in Argentina this season, where he lost to the 1 racket of the tournament, Cerundolo. The young Italian Darderi arrives after the OA qualification which he did not pass and this will be only the 2nd tournament this season.

A more experienced and in my opinion even a better tennis player, Andreozzi has already played on clay this season, and he hasn't been anywhere outside of South America, with the young Italian having to travel a lot to Australia and Chile, the latter of whom has yet to play on clay this year. Darderi is a great young tennis player, but here it is realistic that he will fall in the first round
