A duel between tennis players of different levels, F. Tiafoe is a top-class player who has been playing extremely stable and especially well on the hard court this year. Czech Machac is a challenger tournament player, so these reasons alone make me choose Tiafoe. Every match here is important, so the USA team as the favorite must dominate in order to win the match between them and move on, so I really don't expect Tiafoe to relax here. The minus is not big considering the skill of the tennis players, and I think Tiafoe will play with additional motivation for his country, with whom he can hope to win the entire tournament.
