Lithuania - Martinas Gebenas

I think the chances are 75/25. With Echodas leaving the team, Gebenas will now fight for place only with Bendzius and I think Gebenas has much better chances here and can give more than Bendzius in the championship. Bendzius is a player who will periodically show up and take a few threes but thats about it and anyway players like Maciulis, Kuzminskas can do that by playing the 4 while playing better defensively. Also worth mentioning, Bendzius was poor in the friendly matches he’s bad defensively especially in the paint therefore he’d get abused by the opponents. Gebenas is a player who plays periodically too but can hold on against physical players defensively and in Lithuania’s group there’ll be quite a few of those so he’d be good for protecting JV from fouls by coming in. And also I’ve heard that he’s liked by the coaches and that has shown in the friendly matches.
