I feel that online poker is not totaly random and that there is still alot of cheating still going on. I can't tell you how many times that I have gone all in with a great pair and get called by someone with like 2,6 and they hit a straight or a full house on me. Its almost like they know whats going to flop.

I'd have to say i disagree with you!

the thing is firstly you play / see so many many more hands online than you would live

secondly you are much more likely to remember when you get beat with rubbish rather than when you win with rubbish...

thirdly if these sites "allowed" cheating and where found out the financial loss with be HUGE😡- there reputation would be destroyed and there business finished!

also as i said consider how many hands you play / see per hour online the speed played etc... you would never see this turnover in a casino on any single table or any homegame

the whole online poker is rigged debate goes on everywhere, and if you seriously think it's rigged WHY oh WHY would you play online?

just my two cents worth!

Marco, all of your points are very valid
I am only quoting your post, so it cannot be overlooked TWICE

it seems you cant drill that into anyones head
about the enormous amount of hands played online -vs- live

live is definately a snails pace game
there are distractions, live
& more human element interference

the availability of a live game, is predetermined by scheduling
whereas the online is only a point & click away

I totally love, live games, though, I dont get to play in them much

AB Poker had a cheater in it and he was able to see everyones cards, and you don't think that this is going on at other sities?? AB poker was caught and is still going on and they are not finished!!
The speed of the game online doesn't matter. How many do you think are actual people that you are playing against at your table and not computer programs?

For some reason i would much rather play live over at foxwoods ( local casino to me ) than play online, online all you can go by is betting tendencies and percentages wich will only get you so far... there are simply too many donk players online calling pre flop raises with almost any 2, granted the more money your playing for the more structured it will be, but atleast live its nearly always structured...

There is soo much less br variance playing live.....if you live where you can play...i would.

glad to see you went with the mature approach!

did I insult you? - i don't think so!

did i resort to childish comments? - no

did i pertain to as you put it "know poker" - not to you!

this is a discusion forum where generally people are at least a bit sensible about there posts and not just abusive....

perhaps you should think a little about what your posting and at the very least have a bit of respect for others!

gl to you

I personally would rather play online because there are always tournaments starting soon and since i am a big tournament guy i enjoy online more. however i think it is more exciting to play live but its not all that conveniant.

I do like online poker because of the convenience it allows. I can find a game almost anytime, and I especially enjoy the cost to enter a tourney online. You can buyin fairly inexpensive or even use your points to enter a game. At the casino, everything is gonna cost you to enter. Therefore, online is an easy choice for me.

The biggest advantage of playing live poker is the wealth of information that each player has available to them. Many people underestimate how important it is to physically see the players across the table, but if you can see them, you can read them, and you can really beat them. Although online gives less interaction but it has the history bar, which allows you to see exactly which cards and plays provoked which bets from your opponents- if you learn to read this properly it can be incredibly useful. You also have the benefit of outside assistance, something you couldn’t have at the table, like a pot odds calculator.

Online is much faster and convenient. No casinos close to where I live, so live games are more of a social event. Online provides me an option that I don't have otherwise.
