Hello.
Euroleague. Hapoel versus Fener. We are traveling with Fener's Peru.
Both teams are preparing for a very important match. Fener can easily fall out of the top 4 after such a poor run (1 win in the last 6 matches). After these games, we still have Real waiting, who also risk losing their spot in the top 4 and home court advantage (they are playing against Oly today and the second match of the double header this week, as expected, is also against Fener). However, I believe that Šaras' team will bounce back today. One of the reasons for this is the return of Melli. Yes, he was rusty in the local league over the weekend, but he is a super important player for the team. His strong defense in the center is irreplaceable for Šaras and it was his absence that led to Fener's tragic series and downfall in their game. Also, there is GTD and Jantunen, so if he returns, it will only make it easier for the team.
Hapoel's situation is no piece of cake either. The win against Pao was very important, but it's not over yet. They have a very tough schedule ahead and every point is crucial for them. After Fener, they also have games against Oly this week and Maccabi on the weekend (you could say it's a triple header), and the challenge of Monaco next week. Micic played a big role in the win against Pao, but it's unclear whether he will play today (according to the latest news, he has traveled to Germany for further tests due to some period pain). Some may say that his absence could even be beneficial, considering his form this season, but in high-pressure games like these, I think he could be very useful.
Overall, these are very important games for both teams, but I believe that Šaras will have his players ready for today's match, and the home court advantage doesn't play a big role here as Hapoel is not even playing in Israel. The odds are too good not to try. Good luck.
