If both will play as they are able to play, this match could be a possible classic Ally Pally. Two months ago, they met in the finals of the European Championship and played all possible 21 legs. I believe it will be difficult for either of them to break each other's throw if they both are hitting doubles at a high percentage. They both have great scoring power and after 10 darts, they can already be sitting on a possible double. If that's the case, we can expect all 9 sets to be played, even though Van Gerwen only needed 5 in their last match to score 9 180's. He has great technique and I believe after the European Championship, he's confident he can win not just Europe, but also the world, so it's understandable why he is showing great form now. He throws flat darts, which makes it easy to stack one on top of the other. I hope to see a lot of 180's.
