Hello.
Euroleague. Paris vs Žalgiris. Let's go with Žalgiris team.
Both teams are not in the best form in Euroleague, but I still believe in Žalgiris more. At the beginning of the season, Paris seemed quite good and their system appeared to be working, but now it's complete chaos. The intensity is not the same, the players are not able to move in defense, and they are allowing the opponents to score too many points. In the last game, Monaco scored 125 points without overtime... The only game where they didn't allow more than 90 points was against Valencia (which they also won, the only win in their last 5 games). But even then, they still allowed 86 points (which is not a good score). The team can win in offense, but even that same Hifi is making too many mistakes.
Žalgiris knows how to defend and I think this last game will be a wake-up call. They also have players to attack, so I believe they will be able to gather their points. It's a shame that Butkevičius and Giedraitis won't be playing, but Žalgiris has solid defensive players even without them. Definitely more solid ones compared to Paris. I don't expect a bad offense like we saw against Maccabi, but the players should be able to score from under the basket... Yes, Paris has to end their 3L streak eventually, but I hope it won't be today. For me, it's a 60/40 game in favor of Žalgiris, and with these odds getting a 2+ looks like a gift. Good luck.
