I don't know what could happen for Portugal to not qualify for the Euro Cup here in Ireland. Portugal is playing possibly the best football in the world this year, with an impressive attack and talented players on their team. Ronaldo, who is nearing the end of his career, looks to be the strongest player Portugal has ever had. So far, they have smoothly defeated Armenia 5-0, struggled a bit against Hungary 3-2, and beat Peru on their away game. At this point, Ireland's chances of qualifying for the World Cup seem bleak, as they have only gained 1 point in their matches against Hungary and Armenia. Their win against the Hungarians was lucky, as they received a red card and still managed to score 2-1. 3-0 is the minimum score needed for Ireland to have a chance.
