Anisimova is in the flow, only slowed down by Sabalenka and Swiatek. Anisimova actually had a tough time in her previous matches against Muchova and Paolini, but in her last match against Gauff, she took it easy and practically gave up, there was no game. Meanwhile, Noskova struggled against Pegula for 2.5 hours, she was weak on her serve with 7 double faults, despite having 11 aces she made a lot of unforced errors. Pegula just came into this match exhausted as she had three grueling matches lasting three sets each before. She also missed a couple of match points and could have won the tiebreak, but at the net she practically hit the ball into the empty court. One downside is that Noskova is not bad at receiving and in their last head-to-head match at Wimbledon, Anisimova won.
