Looking at the current lineup, many may not be convinced by Virtus' strength as they have acquired Edwards, who is expected to be a key player for the team, and Smailagičius from Žalgiris, which shows that the market dictates the conditions and it is not easy to get good players for an affordable price. On the other hand, Real seems to have strengthened this year, with the addition of Maledonas at the end of last season, who may have had a tough time at the European Championship but definitely has talent.
