In the cup, there are more surprises than in the leagues, but I can't seem to spot that here, and I believe that Liverpool will easily defeat Southampton. There will be quite a rotation, but Liverpool bought some great players this summer and have a very deep team. Speaking of Southampton, after one of the worst Premier league seasons in history, this year they seem to be doing no better and are currently in 19th place in the Championship. They should have at least a couple of goals, but I believe that Liverpool will score 3-4.
