Galfi plays a bit stronger on hard courts, has better serve, also has reached over on fast courts in Grand Slam tournaments. The downside is that Galfi had injuries this year and didn't finish three matches due to them, however, her good performance at the US Open is encouraging and also her victory over Fruhvirtova in the first round, who seems to be in better form than Kawa at the moment. Kawa is still a good receiver, but her serve can be broken every other time. A big plus is the head-to-head record 2:2, however the last two wins were for Kawa, but those matches were played on clay and grass courts, and before that Galfi convincingly won two matches on hard courts, so it's time to choose Galfi again.
