Eurobasket Day 2. Israel - Iceland. Let's bet on Israel with a negative handicap.
Israel looks like a very solid team on paper. Avdija after a great season with the Blazers. His main teammates will probably be Sorkin and Madar. Sorkin should dominate today, as the Icelandic team doesn't have anyone strong enough to defend against him. If Avdija plays at his full potential, Israel can achieve a lot this year. They looked average in friendly games, but it's not a true reflection of their actual strength and we will see a different picture today.
Iceland seems to be more like tourists than a serious team here. Led by Fridriksson and Hermannsson, I don't think they can do much. They may hang on in the game if they hit some three-pointers, but that's about it. Their front line doesn't exist, and just running and shooting won't be enough to beat Israel.
They can definitely win by more than 10 points, and I believe Israel will win. I don't expect a lot of drama here, just a warm-up before the more serious battles.
