In a surprising turn of events, they lost in Group B (0-3) to the rapidly progressing Swiss team, but clearly dominated their other opponents. Although the Americans did not have the opportunity to bring their "dream team", this team also demonstrates a similar level (good defense, fast counterattacks, relatively few penalty minutes).
