These teams have already faced each other in the Group Stage and I picked a Mozambique Handicap which was nearly the same at +13.5. It didn't come through, but Latvia only covered it because of the 4th quarter as it helped them win by 14 points and I only lost because of a missed free throw at the end of the game so I'll repeat myself:
Mozambique won't be a comfortable team for Latvia to play against. The African team is tall, they have full of players with big wingspans and can run up and down the whole game and have a strong fighting spirit. Latvia's main strength is their Center "Meldere" who has been very good inside the paint, but she won't be able to continously run up and down on offence and defence. The only problem is that African team might struggle to close as most African teams struggle with high percentage shooting.
After the 1st meeting between these teams, Latvia did get destroyed 34-67 by another African team Mali and lost to Colombia today despite being the favourites in both match ups.
Mozambique did get beat down by China and lost to Korea by 13 points in that period.
