Teams are at different levels. Russia lost against Belgium and Serbia but won against Belarus. They won against Italy in eightfinals but lost against Spain in quarterfinal. But 4 of 5 opponents can be described as top teams.
Meanwhile, Sweden won against Montenegro but lost against Czech Republic and France. They won pretty easy against Latvia in eightfinals but didn't have chance against Serbia in quarterfinal and lost by 38 points.
It is dissapointing because I think that Russia had to play against too strong opponents to show good basketball. If they have enough motivation, they will not have problems to win by such amount of points.
