Stosur S. - Puig M.

For years, the smart money has been betting against Sam in tournaments Down Under. She has been horrendous here over the years and has managed to win only 1 of her last 7 matches on home soil. And that was from a set and break down barely against Witthoeft. She has dominated Puig big time with 4-1 lead in H2H but the first 4 matches, all won by Stosur, were way back in 2014 & 2015 when Pica was up and coming youngster. Incidentally, Monica is 1-0 against Stosur in Australian having beaten her in 2016 Sydney. Not that I am super convinced about Pica's form right now but Stosur can never be trusted in Aussie events, unless she gets gift of a draw and this isn't one.
