China lost to the Philippines the first match in the tournament in 9 points. It was thought that this is a underestimation of the opponent and luck with the Filipinos. However, after China was obliged (I emphasize this word) to lose to Iraq and Syria (😡), everything finally fell into place - experiments with this roster failed. The team is just weak and not ready for serious matches.

There is not that familiar power under the boards, which the Chinese team has always been famous for - now Re, Hu and Khan have 6 rebounds per game each, and according to the overall rebounds rate China is only the 6th!

Gaining a team not a little - 80 points per game. But look with whom they played and it will become clear that all the same it is not enough. 5 players bring a minimum of benefit from this roster (everyone is used to the fact that the Chinese have usually roster where all 12 players are dangerous). According to one of the main indicators of teamwork - assists - the Chinese team is not even in the top 10!

Australia plays well, confidently and reliably. I don't even know whether it is worth describing the strengths of the main (not otherwise) favorite on the trophy. Moreover, the Australians have an excellent opportunity to declassively declare such a team of China than they (Australians) in their first Cup of Asia want to use. Equal roster - sent home the injured Andersen, and the remaining 11 guys play from 15 to 22 minutes (yes yes, all 11 players) and gain at least 5 points on average per game. This is the level. The minimum victory in this tournament for Australia was 16 points over Japan. And now we will add additional days of rest for Australia and get a very sad picture for China. I would like to note that recently the Australians seriously tuned to the match with this team:

12.08.16 China - Australia 68:93 (14:17, 20:27, 16:21, 18:28)
31.07.16 Australia-China 82:53 (18:10, 23:16, 22: 8, 19:19)

Therefore, today I expect to see 20+ points in favor of Australia.
