Monday Night Football: Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots:

Line: Patriots – 11
Over/Under: 46

Tom Brady is back as the Patriots’ starting quarterback after missing all of 2008, creating very high expectations for the 2009 season. At betrepublic, New England is the odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl.

Hey all, my main man All day Peterson did it again! Dude is lights out! His #'s were 25 carries for 180 yards & 3 TDs, wow😡 Watch here NFL Videos

My ?, is he the best RB in the NFL today? I think he's best pure RB since Jim Brown.

Also, this is my ranking, please add to it or you rank them yourself.

1. A Peterson

2. L Tomlinson

3. C Portis

4. M Turner

5.tie B Westbrook & M Jones-Drew

I'll admit his receiving skills aren't great but man he can turn a gm around in a hurry! He's as big, strong, fast, smart & electrifying as they come! He already has 3,281 yds in only 31 reg season gms, thats an incredible 105.8 yds/per gm, just amazing! Plus, 41 rec for 411 yds &1 td.

Any thoughts or insight welcome.

Three active NFL players are joining former players in agreeing to donate their brains after death to a Boston University medical school program that studies sports brain injuries.

The donations by Matt Birk of the Baltimore Ravens, Lofa Tatupu (LOH'-fuh tah-TOO'-poo) of the Seattle Seahawks and Sean Morey of the Arizona Cardinals were announced Monday. Morey says his donation will help improve the safety of retired and future athletes.

The players' brains and spinal cord tissue will go to the Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy so researchers can better understand the effects of concussions. More than 150 former athletes, including 40 retired NFL players, already are in the program's brain donation registry.

The center was created in 2008 as a collaborative venture between BU and Sports Legacy Institute.

Injuries are very disappointing to a competitive athlete, as well as to a competitive coach. However, when there is a probable injury, it should be properly reported and treated even if the player is crucial to winning a game. Playing with an injury can be very dangerous. It can lead to further injuries — more serious ones. This is why coach Eric Mangini is under investigation..........

Pittsburgh at Chicago

After coming off a very physical NFL betting game versus the Tennessee Titans, the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

The Steelers will hope that they don’t come out flat after a long layoff. They won in the NFL’s Thursday night opener 13-10 over Tennessee in overtime. The Bears will try to bounce back from a Week 1 loss at Green Bay.

Injuries will keep Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu and Chicago's Brian Urlacher off the field Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field.

NFL betting lines have the Steelers favored by 3 points.

Pittsburgh and Chicago last met in Week 14 of the 2005 season, a 21-9 Steelers home victory that was the first of eight straight wins on their way to winning Super Bowl 40.

The Steelers haven't visited Soldier Field since a 37-34 overtime victory in 1995, their lone win in 11 visits to Chicago.

New England at New York Jets

After leading their teams to season-opening victories, Rex Ryan and Bill Belichick square off for the first time Sunday when the New York Jets host the New England Patriots.

The Patriots have won eight straight when visiting the Jets since a 20-19 loss Sept. 11, 2000, during Belichick’s first season at the helm.

The NFL betting line in this one has the Patriots listed as 4-point road favorites.

The Patriots might be without linebacker Jerod Mayo, last season’s team leader with 139 tackles, due to a knee injury suffered Monday.

This will be a huge test for the Jets, who have not started a season with consecutive wins since going 5-0 to begin 2004.

The Patriots are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 meetings in New York.

I still don't understand why the decision to out Garcia in favor of Russell starting. All discussions seemed to show that Garcia (though a better quarterback IMO) was in agreement to play second to Russell as starting quarterback. Now watching recent games seems to bare review of that decision. Is it already time to bench Russell in favor of remaining quarterbacks that seem to play a better game? What were they thinking?:crying

Disapproval reeks as Rush Limbaugh’s bid to buy the St. Louis Rams gets public attention. One of those in opposition is the owner of Indianapolis Colts, Jim Irsay who made his voice heard at the NFL Fall League Meeting, commenting that the radio host will not get his vote..............

I dont recall ever seeing an NFL game that lopsided.
What the heck is wrong with Tennesee. They go from best record in the AFC last year to winless.
