No. 14 Florida got past LSU by a score of 76-64 last time out, with Erik Murphy pouring in a team-high 15 points for the Gators in that victory. Erving Walker was good for 12 points on the night, while Bradley Beal picked up 11 points and eight rebounds.

That win improved the Gators to 15-4 straight up and 8-6 against the spread on the season, while the Rebels are 13-6 straight up and 7-8-2 against the spread this year.

Mississippi is coming off back-to-back wins over Mississippi State and Georgia, edging the Bulldogs by a score of 66-63 on the road when they last hit the hardwood on Saturday.

Terrance Henry tossed in 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Rebels against the Bulldogs, with Murphy Holloway and Nick Williams both picking up 12 points. Reginald Buckner also had 10 boards in that contest.

Florida has rolled to a win over Mississippi in each of the last three seasons, last losing to the Rebels back in 2008. Overall the Gators are 9-1 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between the schools.

The OVER/UNDER sits at 5-4-1 over the last 10 games between Florida and Mississippi, with last year's 77-71 Gators victory at home going over a posted sportsbook total of 137 points.

No. 22 Michigan (16-5, 6-2 Big Ten) enters off its first true road win of the season, 66-64 at Purdue on Tuesday night. Leading Wolverines scorer Tim Hardaway Jr. had struggled away from home this year, averaging 10.1 points on 30.4 percent shooting and 2-for-22 from 3-point range. But on Tuesday in West Lafayette, Hardaway had 19 points on 8-for-15 shooting in playing all 40 minutes. Michigan shot 54 percent from the field and outrebounded the Boilermakers 30-23. Michigan is now 11-2 this season when outrebounding its opponent. UM had lost its past six trips to Purdue.

No. 3 Ohio State (18-3, 6-2) crushed Penn State 78-54 on Wednesday night. Big Ten Player of the Year favorite Jared Sullinger had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead OSU. The Buckeyes scored the first eight points and led 15-2 with almost 8 minutes gone. The Buckeyes improved to 15-0 at home this season while running their home winning streak to 37 in a row -- the second-longest streak in the country behind Kentucky's 47 straight.

The Buckeyes have now won by double figures in 16 of their 18 victories this year. Fourteen of their wins have been by 22 or more points. Ohio State’s 22.0-point average margin of victory is No. 1 nationally. When shooting 50 percent or better from the field, as it did vs. Penn State, Ohio State is 9-0 this season and 103-7 under Coach Thad Matta.

The Buckeyes were 3-0 against Michigan last year, winning 68-64 in Ann Arbor, 62-53 in Columbus and 68-61 in the Big Ten Tournament. OSU has won 14 of the past 16 overall in this series.

The West Virginia Mountaineers will welcome the Pittsburgh Panthers to the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown on Monday in the lone Big East betting matchup on the college basketball schedule for the night.

College Ball Extra Credit. Bet college basketball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

And West Virginia will be hoping that home court will allow them to put an end to a three-game skid (both straight up and against the spread) against Pittsburgh. Overall, the Panthers are 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS in the past 10 meetings between the schools.

The Mountaineers, though, are coming off back-to-back losses to St. John's and Syracuse, which has dropped them to 15-7 SU and 12-7 ATS on the season.

Against the Orange in their last game on Saturday the Mountaineers lost 63-61 on the road despite a 20-point performance from Kevin Jones. Darryl Bryant scored 12 points for West Virginia in that day's defeat, and Gary Browne pitched in with 11 points.

Pittsburgh had lost eight games in a row until picking up consecutive wins over Providence and Georgetown, with that 72-60 upset of the ranked Hoyas happening at home in their most recent game on Saturday.

Nasir Robinson had 23 points for Pittsburgh in their win over Georgetown, with Lamar Patterson adding 18 points, and Talib Zanna grabbing 10 rebounds. The Panthers are 13-9 SU but just 7-10 ATS so far this season.

The Panthers are also 8-9 on the OVER/UNDER this season, with West Virginia paying off for OVER bettors at 12-7 on the totals. The OVER/UNDER has gone 5-5 for totals bettors in the past 10 meetings between these two Big East schools.

The Tennessee Volunteers were one of Kentucky's 21 victims already this season; they'll try to get some revenge on the Wildcats on Tuesday night when those schools hit the hardwood at Rupp Arena in Lexington.

College Ball Extra Credit. Bet college basketball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

The top-ranked Wildcats head into Tuesday night's contest at 21-1 straight up (7-14 against the spread) on the season, and they're coming off a 74-50 road win over LSU.

Terrence Jones led the way with 27 points for Kentucky in that win over the Tigers last time out, while Anthony Davis pitched in with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Darius Miller added 13 points in the contest for the Wildcats.

And Kentucky knocked off Tennessee 65-62 on the road when those schools met on January 14, with Davis tossing in a team-high 18 points in that contest. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was good for 17 points that day, and Jones scored 10 points.

Cameron Tatum picked up 16 points for the Volunteers in that defeat on January 14, and Jeronne Maymon was good for 15 points and 10 boards.

Maymon also led Tennessee with 15 points and 19 rebounds in their 64-49 win over Auburn on Saturday, which put them at 10-11 straight up and 11-7-1 against the spread on the season.

Kentucky has won four straight games against Tennessee and eight of the last 10 meetings both straight up and against the spread versus the Volunteers.

For totals bettors the UNDER is on a seven-game winning run on the OVER/UNDER in Kentucky/Tennessee contests. The Wildcats are 7-12-1 on the OVER/UNDER this season, and the Volunteers have gone 5-12-2 for totals bettors so far this year.

The No. 12 Florida Gators will be looking to win and cover the spread against the South Carolina Gamecocks for the second time this season on Thursday night when those schools hit the hardwood in Gainesville.

College Ball Extra Credit. Bet college basketball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

Those teams met in South Carolina back on January 14, with the Gators rolling to a 79-65 road win as a 6.5-point favorite on the college basketball betting lines at Bovada. The combined score of the contest was an OVER result for totals bettors.

Kenny Boynton led the way with 15 points for Florida in that victory, while Will Yeguete and Bradley Beal picked up 14 points apiece. Bruce Ellington poured in 17 points in that losing cause for the Gamecocks, and Malik Cooke was good for 10 points and seven boards.

Overall the Gators are 7-3 straight up but just 3-7 against the spread in their past 10 games against the Gamecocks; they had been on a six-game losing run ATS against South Carolina until covering the posted spread in the last two meetings between the schools.

The OVER has paid off in each of the last four games between the Gators and Gamecocks.

Florida is currently riding a five-game winning streak that has them at 17-4 straight up and 9-7 against the spread on the season, and they beat ranked Mississippi State by a score of 69-57 at home in their last game on Saturday.

Beal had a team-high 19 points in that Gators win over the Bulldogs, with Erik Murphy adding 14 points, and Patric Young contributing 12 points and six rebounds.

South Carolina sits at 9-11 straight up and 7-8 against the spread this year after losing 66-62 on the road against Mississippi in their last game on Saturday. Cooke picked up 17 points for the Gamecocks in that defeat, and Brenton Williams chipped in with 15 points.

It’s a light night in college basketball on Thursday with only four ranked teams in action, but there could be a Top-5 club going down as No. 5 Duke visits a Virginia Tech team that usually pulls off at least one big upset a year at home. The Blue Devils opened as 4.5-point favorites on Bovada’s NCAA basketball odds.

College Ball Extra Credit.
Bet college basketball props at Bovada for your chance at a $25 free bet.

Duke (18-3, 5-1) enters a half-game behind Florida State and North Carolina for the ACC lead. The Blue Devils have won two in a row since losing to FSU. They last were in action Saturday, beating St. John’s 83-76 in Duke’s final non-conference game of the regular season. Mason Plumlee had 15 points and a career-high 17 rebounds to lead the way. But Coach Mike Krzyzewski essentially called the game a loss as Duke nearly blew a 22-point lead to a decimated Red Storm club.

Virginia Tech (12-9, 1-5) will again miss out on the NCAA Tournament this season barring a miracle turnaround. The Hokies have lost two straight and six of seven. On Saturday, they fell 73-69 at Maryland but almost rallied from a 15-point deficit. Virginia Tech was held to just 19 first-half points in shooting 6-for-25. That was the fewest points in a half this season for the Hokies.

Virginia Tech is 1-2 vs. ranked teams this season, losing by double digits to Syracuse and North Carolina but winning at Virginia. The Blue Devils have won three straight ACC road contests and are 8-2 away from Cameron Indoor Stadium this season. Krzyzewski is 8-3 at Duke against the Hokies. The Blue Devils are 3-2 in Blacksburg under Krzyzewski, but the Hokies upset top-ranked Duke there last year, 64-60, for their lone win in the past six meetings. Duke has held Virginia Tech to less than 70 points in eight consecutive meetings. Duke is just 1-5 ATS in its past six games after a win this season.

The Syracuse Orange will be looking for their seventh straight win over the St. John's Red Storm on Saturday afternoon when those schools do battle at Madison Square Garden.

College Ball Extra Credit. Bet college basketball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

The Orange haven't been tagged with a loss by the Red Storm since back in January 2007, when they fell 64-60 on the road as a 4.5-point favorite on the college basketball betting lines.

Since that contest Syracuse has rattled off six straight victories over St. John's, covering the posted spread at Bovada in their four most recent matchups. Four of the last six meetings between the schools were OVER results, including both games last season.

Syracuse has won two straight games since getting their perfect mark ruined by Notre Dame on January 21; they took care of Cincinnati 60-53 on the road last Monday, and they knocked off West Virginia by a 63-61 score at home in their last game last Saturday.

Brandon Triche has a team-high 18 points for Syracuse in that win over West Virginia, while Kris Joseph was good for 13 points and seven rebounds in the game. Scoop Jardine picked up nine points and five assists for Syracuse that day.

That result improved the Orange to 22-1 straight up and 13-9 against the spread on the season, and they're 10-12 on the OVER/UNDER. On the college basketball futures at Bovada the Orange enter the weekend at 6/1 odds to win this season’s NCAA Tournament.

St. John's beat DePaul 87-81 on the road in their last game on Wednesday night, but they're still under .500 at 10-12 on the season. D'Angelo Harrison led the way on offense for the Red Storm on Wednesday, pouring in 29 points in the contest.

The game of the night Tuesday in college basketball is crystal clear: No. 7 Florida visiting No. 1 Kentucky in a showdown between easily the two best teams in the SEC. The Cats opened as 9.5-point favorites on Bovada’s NCAA basketball odds and there will be live betting available with the game being shown on ESPN (7 p.m. ET).

Florida (19-4, 7-1) has won seven in a row and is 1.5 games behind Kentucky (23-1, 9-0) in the SEC. A win would be historic for the Gators as they have never beaten UK when it was ranked No. 1 in the nation, going 0-7 vs. the top-ranked Wildcats. These Gators have five players scoring in double figures, led by guard Kenny Boynton’s 17.6 ppg.

To have a shot at the upset, UF center Patric Young will have to slow down Kentucky freshman phenom Anthony Davis. The likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft comes off a game against South Carolina where he had 22 points, eight rebounds and eight blocks. Davis already is one of the best shot-blockers in NCAA history. He has a national-leading 116, breaking Shaquille O’Neal’s SEC freshman record for blocks in a season. He ranks ninth on the SEC’s single-season blocks list and has more blocked shots than eight other SEC teams. Davis leads the Wildcats in scoring (13.9 ppg), rebounding (10.1 rpg) and steals (36).

These are the two highest-scoring teams in the SEC. Florida is No. 1 at 80.1 points per game, followed by the Wildcats at 78.2. Kentucky has won 15 in a row and its loss came on a buzzer-beater at Indiana. The Cats have won their past three games by a combined 83 points.

UK and UF split two games in the 2010-11 regular season before Kentucky beat the Gators in the championship game of the SEC Tournament. Kentucky has won 15 games in a row and has won 48 straight at Rupp Arena – Coach John Calipari has yet to lose there.

Having just snapped an ugly four-game losing streak, the Connecticut Huskies will head out on the road for their next contest on Monday night against the Louisville Cardinals.

College Ball Extra Credit. Bet college basketball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

The Huskies had dropped four consecutive decisions to Cincinnati, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Georgetown before taking care of the Seton Hall Pirates in a 69-46 win at home on Saturday afternoon.

Ryan Boatright scored a team-high 19 points for Connecticut to go along with five assists in that win, while Jeremy Lamb added 17 points and eight rebounds. Alex Oriakhi had 10 points and eight boards on the day.

Connecticut also put an end to a four-game losing streak against Louisville the last time the two schools met back in the Big East Tournament championship game in March of last season; the Huskies won that game 69-66.

Kemba Walker led the way with 19 points for UConn that day, while Lamb picked up 13 points and seven rebounds, and Oriakhi had 10 points and eight boards. Senior Preston Knowles was good for a team-high 18 points for the Cardinals in that loss.

The Huskies had been listed as 3-point underdogs on the college basketball betting lines for that title game last year, and the outright win improved them to 2-7-1 against the spread in their last 10 matchups with the Cardinals. UConn went 4-6 straight up in those games.

Louisville has won four games in a row heading into this week of action, getting past Rutgers 78-66 at home in their last game on Saturday. Chane Behanan picked up 23 points and 11 boards for the Cardinals in that win, and Kyle Kuric tossed in 14 points.

The Purdue Boilermakers have lost to three ranked teams in their past four games, and they'll be in tough again on Tuesday night this week as they play on the road against the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes.

College Ball Extra Credit. Bet college basketball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

The Boilermakers were tagged with losses by each of Michigan State, Michigan, and Indiana recently, getting their only win in their past four games against Northwestern. That has Purdue at 15-8 straight up and 10-11 against the spread on the season.

Purdue fell 78-61 at home against Indiana in their last game on Saturday despite a 16-point, 10-rebound performance from Robbie Hummel. D.J. Byrd added 15 points for the Boilermakers in that loss, and Kelsey Barlow picked up 12 points.

The Buckeyes ride a five-game winning streak into Tuesday's matchup, and they're 20-3 straight up and 12-7 against the spread on the season. Ohio State has faced seven ranked teams so far this year, coming out with wins in five of those contests.

Ohio State slipped past Wisconsin 58-52 on the road in their last game on Saturday as Jared Sullinger poured in 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Deshaun Thomas added 16 points in that contest, and William Buford picked up 11 points and six boards.

Purdue beat Ohio State 76-63 as a 1-point home underdog on the college basketball betting lines when those schools last met last February, and overall they've split their last 10 meetings 5-5. The Buckeyes hold the slight edge against-the-spread at 5-4-1 in the past 10 matchups, with the OVER/UNDER going 5-4-1 in those contests as well.

The No. 7 Kansas Jayhawks will be trying to help themselves in the rankings on Wednesday night when they play on the road against the No. 6 Baylor Bears.

College Ball Extra Credit. Bet college basketball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

Kansas has already managed to beat Baylor once this season, winning 92-74 at home over the Bears back on January 16. Tyshawn Taylor was good for 28 points for the Jayhawks in that victory, and Thomas Robinson added 27 points and 14 rebounds in the contest.

Baylor, which had been undefeated heading into that last game against Kansas, got 18 points from Perry Jones III and 17 points from Quincy Miller in that loss. Pierre Jackson picked up 11 points and 11 assists that day.

The Jayhawks had been favored by 7 points on the college basketball betting lines in that matchup and had no trouble covering the posted spread. Overall Kansas is 9-1 straight up but only 5-5 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between the rival schools.

The OVER has paid out for bettors in each of the last three meetings between the teams.

Kansas is coming off a 74-71 road loss to No. 4 Missouri in their last game on Saturday, which has them at 18-5 straight up and 11-10-1 against the spread on the season. Robinson led the way with 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Jayhawks in that defeat.

Baylor is 21-2 straight up (but just 7-8-1 against the spread) this season, and they've won four in a row since dropping back-to-back games to Kansas and Missouri last month. The Bears are coming off a 64-60 win at Oklahoma State in their last game on Saturday.

It’s easily the best rivalry in college basketball and many think in all of sports when Duke and North Carolina get together and the two meet for the first time this season Wednesday night in Chapel Hill, with the Heels as 6-point favorites on Bovada’s NCAA basketball odds and live betting scheduled to be available.

College Ball Extra Credit.
Bet college basketball props at Bovada for your chance at a $25 free bet.

With Duke entering this game at No. 9 in the polls and UNC at No. 5, this will be the 32nd time in the last 65 meetings that both are among the Top 10. In four seasons – 1979, ’88, ’98 and 2001 – the teams played three Top-10 encounters. That seems rather likely again in 2012.

The Blue Devils probably need this one more after suffering a stunning 78-74 home overtime loss to Miami (Fla.) on Sunday. Duke might have been looking ahead a bit that day as UM led by 16 at one point in the second half, outrebounded the Blue Devils 48-43 and outscored them 38-26 in the paint. Seth Curry scored 22 points off the bench and freshman Austin Rivers added 20 for the Blue Devils (19-4, 6-2), who appeared listless while falling into that deep deficit before waking up with about 16 minutes left.

Duke had a 45-game home winning streak snapped by unranked FSU a few weeks ago, meaning the Blue Devils have lost two games at home for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

North Carolina (20-3, 7-1) is tied with Florida State atop the ACC and UNC has won five straight convincingly since a shocking blowout loss at FSU. The Heels, who lead the nation in scoring and rebounding, won at Maryland 83-74 on Saturday but saw star Harrison Barnes tweak a previously sprained ankle. Barnes played through the injury and will start in this one.

Each of the Tar Heels’ ACC wins this season have been by at least nine points, with a 15.7 average margin. Duke could have major trouble as it ranks last in the ACC in field goal percentage defense at 43.8 and is nowhere near the rebounding team UNC is.

Duke has won four of the past five in this series. The teams each won at home last year before Duke blew out North Carolina the ACC Tournament title game. UNC is 1-1 vs. Top-10 teams this year and 16-10 against Top-10 teams in the Roy Williams era. Carolina has played a Duke team coming off a loss five times in the Roy Williams era. The Tar Heels are 3-2 in those games. The favorite is 4-1 ATS in past five in this series.

It’s a stellar Wednesday night in college basketball action with three games featuring two teams ranked in the Top 11 of the nation and the action starts when No. 11 Georgetown visits No. 2 Syracuse in a Big East matchup, with the Orange opening as 11.5-point favorites on Bovada’s NCAA basketball odds.

College Ball Extra Credit.
Bet college basketball props at Bovada for your chance at a $25 free bet.

Georgetown (18-4, 8-3) has been one of the pleasant surprises in the nation this year and is two games behind the Orange in the Big East. The Hoyas enter off easy back-to-back wins over Connecticut and South Florida. On Saturday, Henry Sims had 13 points to lead five players in double figures, and Georgetown shot 65 percent in the second half in a 75-45 win over the Bulls. USF scored only five points in the first 15 minutes,

Facing a ranked team will be nothing new as GU has played five of them so far this season, winning four – the lone loss was in Hawaii to Kansas at the start of the season. Georgetown is one of only five teams nationally with at least four wins over Top-25 teams.

Syracuse (23-1, 10-1) has probably the deepest team in the nation and has won three in a row since its lone loss, coming at Notre Dame. On Saturday the Orange had no trouble with St. John’s, 95-70. Starting center Fab Melo scored a career-high 14 points in his first action after a three-game absence due to academic issues (including that loss to the Irish) and coach Jim Boeheim tied Dean Smith for third place on the victory list with win No. 879. Boeheim trails only fellow Hall of Famers Mike Krzyzewski (919) and Bob Knight (902) on the career wins list.

This will be only the third game vs. a ranked team so far for SU, which beat Florida and Marquette both at the Carrier Dome. SU officials are expecting their first weeknight crowd in excess of 30,000 in 22 years for this one. It’s possible that Wednesday could mark the last time that Syracuse and Georgetown will meet as Big East Conference foes at the dome with SU off to the ACC at some point.

Georgetown has had Syracuse’s number a bit. The Hoyas have won two of the last three meetings, including a 64-56 win at the Carrier Dome last season. Georgetown is 11-30 all-time at Syracuse. The road team has covered the past four meetings in this series.

If No. 6 Baylor has any shot at winning the Big 12 regular-season title, the Bears must win at Missouri on Saturday afternoon, but the Tigers are unbeaten at home this season and solid favorites on Bovada’s NCAA basketball betting odds.

The Bears (21-3, 8-3) have dropped their past three games to ranked Big 12 foes. On Wednesday, Baylor was handled rather easily by Kansas for the second time this season. Baylor was up 19-9 at one point, but KU had a 14-3 run to close the first half, without foul-plagued star Thomas Robinson on the floor, and then scored the first 14 points of the second half to win going away 68-54. Baylor star Perry Jones III was invisible vs. KU with 5 points on 1-for-8 shooting and 3 rebounds.

Missouri (22-2, 9-2) is tied atop the Big 12 with Kansas. The Tigers have won four straight but were pushed Monday by Oklahoma before winning 71-68. Marcus Denmon scored 25 points and Ricardo Ratliffe added 15 points and 10 rebounds for Mizzou. The Tigers have won each of their last three games by three points or less, marking the first time that has happened since 1978 in the Big 12 Tournament.

Baylor and Missouri met Jan. 21 in Waco, with Missouri winning 89-88. Ratliffe scored a career-high 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting for the Tigers, who held off a late Baylor rally. It was Missouri’s first road win over a Top 5 team since 1994. Missouri shot 55 percent (30 of 55), and Baylor finished at 57 percent (36 of 63). A win here would give Mizzou three wins over Top-10 teams this season for the first time since 2003.

Missouri has now won four of the last five meetings with Baylor and has not lost at home to the Bears since 1948. Baylor hasn’t covered in the past five meetings in this series.

The Alabama Crimson Tide haven't managed to beat the Florida Gators in four years, but they'll get another chance on Tuesday night at home when those schools hit the hardwood at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa.

College Ball Extra Credit. Bet college basketball props for your chance at a $25 free bet.

The Tide's last win over the Gators came back in March 2008; since then they've managed to drop three straight games to Florida, only covering the posted spread at the sportsbook in one of those three outings.

Overall Florida is 8-2 straight up and 5-4-1 against the spread in their last 10 games against Alabama, with the OVER/UNDER going 6-3-1 in those 10 contests.

Last year Florida cruised to a 78-51 win at home over Alabama as a 6-point favorite on the college hoops betting lines at Bovada. Kenny Boynton had 14 points and six assists for the Gators that day, and Trevor Releford picked up 17 points for Alabama.

The Gators have lost two straight games heading into Tuesday's matchup at Alabama, falling to both top-ranked Kentucky and Tennessee to sit at 19-6 straight up and 10-10 against the spread on the season.

Against Tennessee in their last game on Saturday the Gators fell 75-70 at home, losing reserve forward Will Yeguete to a head injury in the process. Boynton and Bradley Beal each scored 16 points for Florida in that defeat.

The Crimson Tide are 16-8 straight up and 9-11 against the spread after losing 67-58 on the road against LSU in their last game on Saturday. Rodney Cooper scored a game-high 28 points for Alabama that day, and Nick Jacobs picked up 14 points.

The No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes, coming off a surprising home thumping on Saturday to Michigan State, looks to avoid rare back-to-back losses and stay atop the Big Ten by winning at Minnesota on Tuesday night. OSU opened as an 8-point favorite on Bovada’s NCAA basketball odds with live play-by-play betting available for the ESPN 9 p.m. ET game.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus:

That 58-48 loss in Columbus to Sparty ended OSU’s 39-game home winning streak. The only player who showed for the Buckeyes up was Jared Sullinger with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Ohio State (21-4, 9-3) shot just 26.4 percent from the floor. That is its worst field goal percentage at home in the last 15 seasons and the third-worst in any game over the last 15 seasons.

Minnesota is on the NCAA Tournament bubble at the moment so a win here would be huge. The Gophers (17-8, 5-7) have alternated wins and losses their past six games, which could be a good trend considering they come off a 68-61 home overtime loss to Wisconsin on Thursday. Andre Hollins had a career-high 20 points, including five 3-pointers, and six rebounds for Minnesota, and Rodney Williams scored 16 points to lead a rally back from 13 points down to force OT.

Should be a great matchup tonight to watch Sullinger guarded by 6-foot-10 Ralph Sampson III. This is the only regular season meeting between the schools. Minnesota, like Michigan State, likes to control games with pressure defense. The Gophers are 49-80 in the all-time series against Ohio State but are 33-30 all-time in Minneapolis. Prior to last season’s 82-69 loss at Williams Arena, Minnesota had defeated OSU three-straight times at The Barn. But now OSU has won four straight in the series overall. The favorite has covered 10 of the past 11 in this series. Minnesota is 1-1- vs. Top-10 teams this year.

North Carolina lost their marquee matchup with the rival Blue Devils by a score of 85-84 at home last Wednesday night, but they recovered from that defeat with a 70-52 drubbing of Virginia at home in their last game on Saturday.

That has the Tar Heels at 21-4 straight up and 12-12 against the spread on the season as they prepare to battle the Hurricanes, who are 15-8 straight up and 10-10-1 against the spread so far this year.

North Carolina and Miami have already met once this season, with the Tar Heels winning 73-56 at home on January 10 as a 16.5-point favorite on the college basketball betting lines at Bovada. That combined score turned into an UNDER result for totals bettors.

Tyler Zeller scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for North Carolina that day, with John Henson adding 11 points and 14 boards. Harrison Barnes was held to just six points in that contest; on the season he's averaging 17.5 points per game.

Kenny Kadji was good for 16 points in that losing cause for the Hurricanes, while Reggie Johnson and Durand Scott tossed in 12 points apiece on the day.

That game marked North Carolina's ninth straight win over Miami; they last lost to the Hurricanes way back in January 2006. The Tar Heels are also 6-4 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between the schools, with the OVER/UNDER 5-5 in those games.

And the Blue Devils will be full of confidence on Thursday after they edged bitter rival North Carolina 85-84 last Wednesday in Chapel Hill and then crushed Maryland 73-55 at home in their last game on Saturday.

Seth Curry led the Blue Devils with 19 points in that win over the Terrapins on Saturday, while Mason Plumlee was good for 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Miles Plumlee contributed 13 points and 22 boards.

That result improved Duke to 21-4 straight up and 11-14 against the spread on the season, and they're now up to No. 5 in the rankings. North Carolina State sits at 18-7 straight up and 9-12 against the spread on the season heading into Thursday night.

The Wolfpack earned a win in Georgia Tech in their last game last Thursday, grabbing a 61-52 victory behind a 15-point performance from C.J. Williams. C.J. Leslie added 13 points and 10 rebounds for North Carolina State that night.

Duke won both of its games against North Carolina State last season, and they're 8-2 straight up and 6-4 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between the schools dating back to 2005. The OVER/UNDER went 8-2 in those 10 contests.

Although the Blue Devils beat the Tar Heels last week, they still trail them on the NCAA Tournament futures right now; Duke is at 12/1 to win the national title, with North Carolina at 15/2. North Carolina State is a longshot at 300/1 odds on that futures list.

Wisconsin enters fourth in the Big Ten, a game-and-a-half behind conference leader Ohio State. The Badgers (19-6, 8-4) haven’t been playing much of late. They bounce back from a 58-52 home loss to the Buckeyes on Feb. 4 with a 68-61 overtime win at Minnesota last Thursday. Star Jordan Taylor led the way for UW with 27 points and the Badgers managed to win despite failing to score over the last 7½-plus minutes of the second half while the Gophers dug out of a 13-point hole.

Michigan State (20-5, 9-3) got one its biggest true road wins in a few years last Saturday, upsetting Ohio State 58-48 to end the Buckeyes’ 39-game home winning streak. Draymond Green had 12 points and nine boards and MSU played withering, physical defense as Ohio State hit just 26 percent of its shots from the field (14 of 53). That was OSU’s worst field goal percentage at home in the last 15 seasons and the third-worst in any game over the last 15 seasons.

MSU and Wisconsin met on Jan. 30 in Madison, a 63-60 overtime Spartans win. Wisconsin’s Ryan Evans hit a shot at the overtime buzzer to apparently tie the game again, but it was disallowed after officials looked at a replay and ruled that it left his hand after time expired. Green had 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead Sparty, while Taylor had 28 points to lead Wisconsin.

This game features the top two defenses in the Big Ten, so the Bovada total is a low 110. MSU is holding teams to a 37.4 field-goal percentage, the lowest total of the Tom Izzo era. UW ranks second in the NCAA in FG defense (36.8%) and leads the nation in 3-point FG defense (26.7).

Sparty is 15-0 at Breslin Center this season and has won 16 straight home games. The Spartans are 5-3 vs. ranked teams this year. The Badgers have won four straight road Big Ten games, their longest streak since winning six in a row in their Big Ten championship season of 2007-08. But Wisconsin hasn’t won in East Lansing since 2004, a string of six straight losses.

Despite having won a national championship in 1989 and having the Fab Five together for two seasons in the early 1990s, with that group reaching back-to-back national title games, the University of Michigan hasn’t won a Big Ten regular-season title since 1986. That could change if UM can pull an upset over visiting Ohio State on Saturday night. The Buckeyes are slight favorites on Bovada’s NCAA basketball odds and there will be live play-by-play betting available for the ESPN telecast (9 p.m. ET).

The No. 19 Wolverines (19-7, 9-4) should be plenty rested, having improved to 14-0 at home last Sunday with a 70-61 victory against Illinois. Leading scorer Tim Hardaway broke out of a shooting slump with 15 points on 5-for-9 shooting. He hadn’t shot better than 41.7 percent from the field in the previous four games. Hardaway also was 2-for-3 from long range after going a combined 6-for-30 in the past five games. This will have been Michigan’s first off week of the 2011-12 Big Ten schedule.

No. 6 Ohio State (22-4, 10-3) bounced back from a stunning home loss Saturday to Michigan State – ending the Buckeyes’ 39-game winning streak at home – with a 78-68 win at Minnesota on Tuesday. William Buford had 24 points after stinking it up against the Spartans and Jared Sullinger had 23 points and eight boards vs. the Gophers. The Buckeyes pulled away with a 20-0 run over 7-plus minutes of the first half to build a 21-point lead and really never were threatened again.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between these teams. Back on Jan. 29 in Columbus, OSU won 64-49 for its sixth victory in a row over its archrival. Sullinger struggled with fouls and had just 13 points and five rebounds, but Lenzelle Smith Jr. picked up the slack with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Smith has been mostly quiet since then, however, in totaling just 19 points in four games. UM had just two players in double figures in that meeting: Hardaway with 15 and Trey Burke with 13.

UM would control its own destiny for at least a share of the Big Ten title with a win here. Plus the Wolverines don’t play a ranked team the rest of the regular season (and already have beaten the four teams left after the Buckeyes), while OSU, Michigan State and Wisconsin all have much tougher finishes.
